I didn't expect the game to have more than the first level haha, and definitely not expect that much level. It was nice, and especially the npc dialogue ! I liked the way they are talking. Same goes for me that la chapeliere, i thought E was for continuing dialogues and i thought i was stuck in a bug for the first minutes.

I can see the metroidvania, and hello optional theme, i would be curious to know how you did include the critical luck.

Overall it was fun, and the characters were fun to watch hehe !

Thank you so much! The luck was only applied to the trampolines (in the wrong direction), every bounce is a random roll

Kudos to you on getting me to finish a platformer, it's one of my most detested types of games (as a player, not as like, a general judgement)! But it was fun and not difficult for my limited motor skills, I loved the bouncer, yeepee trampoline!

I feel like I did learn some about tarot, just to annoy the characters :p

The art is awesome in a wonky, homey way, I loved it, I think I should start making a collection of games that really show that what pleasure you take in a game is not defined by how proper it looks.

Same small control issue as IDOLL_Dev, I thought E was for advancing dialogues as well as starting them, so I struggled for a bit there...

Not sure I read the optional themes in the same way you did, because I can't really understand how you incorporated them, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment at all, so who cares!

I think the little quips and the character designs are my favorite part of this game. You gave each of them a little personality and the art is adorable :)

It's what made me finish the game because I wanted to meet all the characters and try all dialogue options.

At first, I had some technical issues with the dialogue because I kept pressing E to progress it, but it just triggered the dialogue again so I ended up with a bunch of dialogue processes running simultaneously and was a little confused at what seemed like an infinite loop at first - until I figured out I needed to press space or use my mouse lol

But the good thing about that was that it made me realize you took the time to write a script that randomizes the exclamation the character makes when you found all of the Tarot cards, that's a quirky and charming detail to include!

In summary, I appreciate how you clearly took the time to incorporate the main theme and the optional themes, with a unique presentation.

Thank you so much for the amazing review, I had a lot of fun writing scripts for the NPCs, hope to do more dialogue based games in the future, they are a ton of fun and have so many possibilities!

You're welcome - and yeah it's not hard to believe you had a lot of fun writing the dialogue! I'll look forward to it if you decide to do more dialogue based games, you seem to have a knack for it.
