1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?
Name's Mario, from Spain. Not much to say, studiying computer science in Oviedo although I've been programming for a while on my own now.
2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?
Didn't participate, but I'm excited! I have participated in another jams before, and I just feel like programming a little videogame for fun. Thought might as well join this and have a little extra fun!
3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?
Puzzle games, although I have absolutely no idea about how to program those. Might try on this jam though. The game that actually inspired me to start programming was minecraft though.
4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?
I used unity in 3 game jams before (one here on itch and the other two were presential). Also, I have used Phaser a bit before and made some easy and mostly text-based games using pure javascript and c++.
5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!
Programming! Loved it almost from the start. The process of making a thing of your own and watch it grow before your eyes is just so good. Although there are a lot of things that can give you that same feeling (Drawing, woodwork, sculpting...) programming is the one I like the most because it is the one that has less physical work involved.
6. What are your goals for this game jam?
Nothing special. Just have a nice time.
1. Hello! I'm Anu and honestly I'm not the best at introducing myself :'D I'm a college student and when I'm not dying in a class, I'm either doing art or dancing.
2. I didn't participate in last year's jam. Honestly, I never even knew game jams existed until I stumbled across it on an otome game blog I follow! I wish I had known about these sooner but there's always a time and place to start and I guess this is mine! I joined because I've always wanted to create a game, even something small, but I never had the motivation. I also tend to stop once things get hard so I hope this pushes me past that block! I was always unmotivated because I always thought there was no way I could create a game in general or alone,, but I hope this opportunity proves to me that I can as long as I put in the effort. I've played many RPGs, Rhythm, and Visual Novels so those are what I'm most interested in!
3. The idea of favorite game is hard but my most recent games that I've played/or play very frequent are Osu!, Final Fantasy, any Shall We Date! game, and Jubeat.
4. I wouldn't say I really have game developing experience but I have played around with Ren'Py. That's where I first learned how to write in code language and so even if I've never finished a project on there, I feel my most comfortable using that engine!
5. Hmm, hard but I guess I'm most passionate in story writing, dancing, and art! I'm still improving in all of my passions and it has been a fun journey! Recently, I started an art account/enamel pin design account and that has helped motivate me in learning.
6. My goal for this game jam is to finish a project, even if its tiny. I am okay with it being more of a demo, but I want to work through and not give up at the beginning. I also hope to meet new people and use others as inspiration!
1. Hey I'm George, 15 y/o. Before I started game developing I wanted to learn a programming language for my future job, tho they seemed quite boring so I decided to make some games, it'd be great way to learn how to code and pretty fun as well.
2. Nah, I never participated in any game jam before since I've been around unity for like a month, that's my first one.
3. My favorite games are mainly 3D shooters and no they definitely didn't inspire me. But there is one developer called Dani who really got me started, he made such a cool games in such a short amount of time but most importantly he did them almost without drawing something, which means a lot to me since I can't even draw a proper banana without pixelation.
4. I've been using defold to create 2D games before (main language is lua) for over a year.
5. Game developing, I simply love it, and now that I know how hard it can be to create a great game with nice music, art and programming my way of looking other games have changed a lot.
6. I want to get experience out of this jam and test myself how well I can do under pressure, also watching brackeys game jam videos got me excited so I decided to enter this one.
Heyo! Time to introduce myself here real quick!
1. My name is Joni, and I am known for being able to talk for 30 minutes in a row without feeling out of breath or words, rocking in Medieval Mode in TF2, and coming up with a ton of ideas for.. Things! I have made creative things on computers since I was like. 9!
2. I have been homebound because of an injury, so I wanted to do something to fill my time with that can help me finish my future projects.
3. My current favourite games are Team Fortress 2 and Stardew Valley! These two games have not influenced my gamemaking aspirations, though. My first inspiration for making a game was Yume Nikki, and I started thinking up a project that was a fangame to it, made in RPG Maker, but then I played Hiveswap and Sally face and desided, you know what? Point and click or sidescroller is probably a better way to execute my idea! So now I am making a point and click spooky game using GameMaker Studio 2! (Funny story about that: I just bought a 1 year subscription to the basic desktop version like. A day before I found out the proper no subscriptions needed version was on sale on Steam. I contacted support for a refund so I could get it on the sale, and I thought they did not reply. Then after the sale was over, I went to tinker with GM2 and found I didn't have a subscription. They really did refund me and I did not notice! I should turn on notifications for Gmail.)
4. I mostly have just messed around with RPG Maker and GM2, but never made anything that isnt just a few rooms to test the code and stuff. I have a little test of my big game project in RPG Maker, and it is just the player characters room, a long hallway, and a balcony. It looked bad, and that made me rethink what kind of game it should be.
5. If you want to hear me rant about my passions, you will be here all day. Just know that I could talk endlessly about the Team Fortress 2 mercenaries. Give me a mercenary, I will talk to you about them.
6. Make something fun and functional! Not a long game, but like. A short and fun thing!!!! With cute colors!!!!
1. Hey guys !
My name is Sneaky, I am an audio dude looking for some nice encounters, getting experience in gaming production and most of all having fun !
I have worked on movie stuff (students projects) and live performances in theater as a light and audio technician. But what I want is to work on something that I loved my whole life, videogames.
2. I have never been on a jam before, I'm pretty much a noob for that and that's why I gathered the courage to try this one out. I feel like this is the right place to get started and everything I have seen about this event seems very wholesome and made in order to make shy people, as I am, feel great and motivated.
3. As far as I remember, I always see myself playing videogames, starting from the gameboy to the pc masterrace with a lot of consoles between. I discovered only recently that I wanted to work on videogames because I had teachers in my audio school who introduced me to unity, Fmod and Wwise which I absolutely loved. As a huge kingdom Hearts since I am a kid, to only name one game I love, what I want to do now is bringing to players what made me love videogames, a great adventure filled with dreams and passion !
4. As said ealier, I have a bit of experience on unity, Fmod and Wwise and more common audio softwares like Protools, Reaper and ableton live. Of course I have a lot to learn and that's why I'm here
I did students projects on unity (only the audio of course) like replacing the soundlist of the 2D Gamekit with a new one made by me and some friends. I actually work on the Wwise Adventure Game in order to get knowledge to use Wwise better.
5. I love everything that is about sound which can be physics stuff, music, sound design, anything about it. I want to learn everything that can be learn !
6. My goals for this Jam is to meet awesome people, get some work done and learn new thing in order to get better and better !
I'm looking forward to meet you guys on discord when i'll work up the courage to come say hi with my baguette accent !

Hey! My name is Caleb, I'm a software developer in Maryland, US, aspiring to get into game development.
2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?
I've never tried a game jam before. I always thought they were a waste of time, since I always had more projects than I had time for. Recently though, I'm finding that something small and quick would be fun to work on, to improve skills and stay motivated.
3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?
I love sci-fi, one of my favorites is Space Engineers, which is very inspiring. As was Minecraft, back when it was a new idea.
4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?
I've created several prototypes and unfinished games (unfinished usually for lack of art). I don't use engines, I like to develop the internal functionality myself, as that's the part I really enjoy.
5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!
Automation, multiplayer, getting in over my head and having to think outside the box. I love technical challenges.
6. What are your goals for this game jam?
To have fun, but a big part of it is curiosity, to see if I can pull off making a game in a short period of time. It'll be a fight against not only available time, but also my perfectionism, so this will be interesting!
1. Hi. I'm Mike or you may also call me DogEgg. I'm a Unity3D game developer from Hong Kong. I'm not new to this engine but I didn't make games a lot before. My company I worked is for ship autonomus so I'm kind of using Unity as a software interface. I sometimes want to pick up my game develop skills so I tried to join some game jam.
2. No. I'm new to itch.io which only joined one jam before. Anyway my goal is to develop a game that really playable.
3. I love minigames such as Minesweeper. Also almost all Voodoo and 111% games are my favorite. For PC, I love Minecraft. I believe simple game is much suitable to me.
4. I have experience on Unity3D. My graduation project games was made with Unity. However my experience on making game is less.
5. Board game, TRPG, are my passion. But as I said, I like simple. So I rather like games like Call Of Cthulhu instead DND. My life goal for the future is make or participate in a VR game that using rules of TRPG.
6. In this jam I hope that I can make a complete, playable, fun and interesting PC game.

I dont have any goals, just some experience and (possibly) some friends!
1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?
Hello, hello! I’m Kayleigh (Omulette), your friendly neighborhood soft egg. I’m a 25-year-old illustrator/game developer completing my MFA degree at Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD). You can usually find me knitting up little yarn friends, reading graphic novels, or doodling characters for my video game projects.
(I use she/her/hers pronouns.)
2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?
I haven’t participated in the previous couple of jams (full plates of schoolwork kept me quite busy), but I joined MFGJ in Summer 2018 and Winter 2017. This time, I’m hoping to keep things simple so I can properly submit a game!
3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?
In terms of genre, I pick up and play casual games the most. Animal Crossing (New Leaf) is my obvious favorite for its coziness and quirkiness. I’ve loved the series since its GameCube days, and I can’t wait for March 20th and New Horizons!
The most recent game I’ve finished (and adored) is GRIS on Nintendo Switch. Everything about it is beautiful and evocative, from the artwork to the soundtrack. It’s definitely one I’d recommend!
4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?
I’ve worked with RPGMaker MV extensively in the past, and released a couple titles on itch: "Walk With Me" and "My Friend Melon" (demo). Briefly tested the waters in Unity 3D for a small VR project. I’m currently working in Unity 2D (with the Fungus plugin) for my MFA thesis called "Apple & Worm’s Day Out". I’ve also switched my sprite creation workflow to Aseprite, which has been VERY beneficial! For $15, it’s a super-handy tool if you’re looking to make animated pixel art!
5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!
I enjoy lots of different fiber crafts! Right now I’m really into knitting and embroidery, but I also crochet, hand/machine sew, and needle-felt. Most don't have patterns since I freehand 'em. My favorite projects have plenty of colorwork and smooshy textures, like this little alien below!

Her name is Pleesh and she’s the perfect size for hugging.
6. What are your goals for this game jam?
* make at least one functioning minigame level
* experiment with UI design
* keep things simple!
7. Any advice to new participants?
Don’t feel pressured to make something perfect. Game jams (especially this one) are for learning, connecting with other jammers, and having fun!
8. What can the admins do to improve your jam experience?
Just keep up the awesome work! I’ve always appreciated the hosts’ engagement with their jammers, as well as the inclusivity of the community they’re building here.
9. What are some of the past works you've made for the jam? Show off your favorites!
Haven’t submitted anything to jams before, since they were very rough and unfinished, but you can find my devlogs for MFGJ at the links below!
1. Hi. I'm talkyon. Like many of you, I have been playing video games for a long time.
2. This is my first game jam. I want to know if I have aptitude in making games, and if so, what area(s) of the game development process.
3. Pokemon and Rune Factory are my favorite game series. Specifically, Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver are my favorite games. The way the games give you freedom to roam around while still maintaining structure is what inspired me to want to create my own games.
4. I have no prior experience with anything. I've only just started pixel art.
5. I'm very passionate about player choice and freedom in game design, and the challenges that come with combining it with storytelling. For that reason, I am very fond of adventure games that do both well.
6. My goal is to figure out what my strengths are in the game development process.
1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?
Hello, my name is Oscar but I also use my nickname Acero. My native language is Spanish, so i apologize if I make mistakes while writing in English.
2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?
Yes. I went solo in the last jam. I would like to work in a team this time so I can learn from the experience of others as well as learn teamwork.
3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?
I like most kind of games but RPGs and visual novels inspire me mostly for their stories.
4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?
The previous game jam I used Unity and I have more experience in this engine. Recently I have started to look into using Renpy.
5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!
Videogames and puzzles. Also, I love the good stories and lore of fantasy worlds.
6. What are your goals for this game jam?
I would like to share a more polished work than last time and also met some people (I'm introvert so this is something I'm working on)
7. Any advice to new participants?
Don't expect to make a perfect and flawless game, because you'll get unmotivated when things dont go the right way. If you get stuck with something, better work in something else and come back later to resolve the issue. Small and steady progress keeps you motivated.
9. What are some of the past works you've made for the jam? Show off your favorites!
This was my entry for last jam. https://oemc.itch.io/marble-maze-maker
1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?
I'm h0wser from Sweden. I'm currently in the final stages of my masters degree in computer science and engineering.
2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?
This is my first jam in a while, I used to develop games for fun and did a few Ludum dares. Got out of it for a few years but now I want to get started again and this Jam seems like the perfect place to find inspiration and just get that first buggy prototype out of the way :p
3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?
I really like competitive games like starcraft and csgo but I also really love competitive but casual "couch-multiplayer" games like towerfall ascension. Those games are more what I like to play but as for inspiration for creating games I think FEZ is one of the biggest inspirations, I love how the art and music come together with cool gameplay mechanics to create a cohesive world. That's what I wish to achieve with my games.
4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?
For a long time me and my friends made small games with C++ because we thought it was cool. I have strong programming skills but have realized that most of those games where more about the code than about the games. That is why I've decided to switch to using Unity so that I don't go around implementing rectangle collisions for the 34th time and can focus on gameplay instead.
5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!
I'm also really into music production and music overall. So for my game music will definitely have its place. I'm interested in creating a world of music that interacts with whats happening on screen. I would someday like to produce soundtracks for games as well.
6. What are your goals for this game jam?
Build a simple but fun game that feels good. One of the most important things for this Jam is that my game gets to a proper finished state. I have too many projects that just get forgotten, I really want to make sure this one is finished.

I am passionate about learning new things, I want to learn about illustration/graphics/game development/music/sound design.
6. What are your goals for this game jam?
My goals are:
- to learn about game development, sound/music design, animation, graphics
- to connect with people who are also learning/creating games
- create a diary/log throughout the jam, documenting my ideas/process, connect with me on twitter @Oliver16406648

7. Any advice to new participants?
Work hard!
9. What are some of the past works you've made for the jam? Show off your favorites!
No past works yet, this will be my first.
1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?
My name is Tom and I am from Texas. I was a programmer until 2001 and then took up teaching. Currently I am in sales.
When I was working on my Masters in Education, I had the ipportunity to teach a summer game programming class for late primary school students. I had a blast and so did they. I taught that class using Gamemaker for six summers. I would like to create and online course for middle schoolers to teach programming concepts via game design

Teaching kids to program
6. What are your goals for this game jam?
Get a game done and uploaded.
1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?
Hi, my name's Cody.
2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?
I didn't participate in the last one. I'm joining now because I'm just getting into game design as a hobby.
3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?
RPG's and Strategy games are my favorites. I've been on a Medieval 2: Total War kick recently. I can't point to any one game that inspired me to make my own, but I love games that can tell an interesting story.
4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?
I've only messed around in Godot. Done a few tutorials here and there.
5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!
Umm...math and science. I've lost hours working through physics concepts for fun before. And reading! Currently reading through the Dresden Files.
6. What are your goals for this game jam?
Finish and submit a complete, if rough around the edges, game.
