Day One:

- Pick up name

- Find a Player: Jopi

- Allocate Textures, Tiles, Backgrounds

- Creating  the type of game and story:

Platform and puzzle adventure where Jopi, a great kid,  is lost, needs to get back home save before too late To find his way back, he needs to collect several objects( Didn't decided yet) to be able to open a door to take in to the next place, hopefully one of them will be home.

Through the places he walks and jump, there are several creatures, these monsters are happy to stop Jopi, however, Jopi has "Bird" a friend to help him.

Bird:

Story may may change a bit , still working on it.

- Working on movement of the player

- Fixing some sounds to the game

- Still trying to design the 1st level

Hi guys, I am learning to code through this awful time (COVID-19) , something I wanted to do but never had time. Is my first time making a game and entering into a jam, a learnt a bit of python last month and now I am learning GDScrit and using GODOT. The only experience was like 30+years ago with MSX and Spectrum computers but never completed anything, until now I hope!

I would like to learn how to do the art for the game but a bit difficult for me to learn a lot of things. I will try as I am learning code.

I will post the links of assets and thank the autors.

See video so far:

Please any ideas, comments are welcome, thanks and good luck to everyone.

oh wow that's quite some experience! if you'd like you can find free and paid art asset bundles on itch.io or find an artist to work with in the team finding thread (or on discord). but i wouldn't worry too much if you find it difficult to focus on art and programming at the same time--it's okay to focus on just one! i'm wishing you the best of luck with the jam. this progress looks great so far! i'm wishing you the best of luck with the rest of the jam!

Thank you for your  kind words
