Hello comrades, I haven't participated in a game jam before, so it's quite interesting to see how fast I can make  a game, hopefully 2weeks is more than enough time for what I have in plan. But here's what I came up with

The game

It's inspired by the Minecraft mini-game "Cake Defense" and just like in that mini-game you will be surviving waves of enemies, I also got the idea of adding a dodge-roll and combat that is somewhat inspired by "Enter the Gungeon", but I'm also thinking about shaking up the gameplay a bit, but I'm not going to spoil it right now since I'm unshure if I can make it work.

There will also a be a shop between each intermission, where you can purchase healing, weapon upgrade, (maybe a different weapon?) or a stat upgrade

I'm probably going to make it infinite, with each wave increasing in difficulty a bit until the player dies or until the game crashes

The art and music

The entire thing is going to be made by me, so that also includes the music and art, which I guess is kinda of bad since I'm going to be using a mouse to draw and I'm kind of new to music making as well.

Programs

  • Programming - Unity
  • Sound fx - Audacity( I'm going to try to make sounds with my mic but if I can't  I'll use sounds from FreeSound.org )
  • Music - LMMS
  • Art - Photoshop

I hope everything goes to plan :/

hey friend! it sounds like this game has some scope-able--first fighting enemies, then figuring out shop system or multiple waves. i'm also curious what your additional mechanics are. good luck with the jam!
