~~~~ Jam Format ~~~~
This jam will function a little differently than normal seeing as there is no set theme. The jam will be broken into 4 parts:
1  First jammers will wander around the gallery, taking in the artwork made by Sabrina Collares, Gosia Łapsa-Malawska, and Mark Tamer
2  Next jammers will have a chance to talk to the artists, asking them questions about their art work.
3  Jammers will select one or two pieces of art that speak to them, these artworks will be the inspiration for their game. It is at this point that jammers might want to form small groups based on the art works them interest them.
4  Jam time! This is the bulk of the jam, and where all the creating happens.
The emphasis of this jam is to create dialog between artists, artworks, and mediums. If you’re someone who’s interested in talking to living artist about their processes, inspirations, artworks, favorite fruit or vegetable, or perhaps worst book they’ve ever read, this is the right jam for you!
~~~~FAQ~~~~

Q: What counts as a game?

A: Anything that is interactive in any way! We’ve leaving it purposefully open ended, we want to give you the opportunity to create whatever you want.

Q: I don’t know how to program or use game engines like Unity or Unreal. Is this jam right for me?

A: Yes! We want this jam to be open and accessible to anyone, regardless of proficiency with programming. If you’re not familiar with using a game engine there are plenty of options for you: making a board game, card game, or anything other physical game, collaborating with another jammer to provide music or art, or using a variety of accessible game making tools such as TwineFlick GamePuzzle ScriptBitsy or others I’m probably forgetting.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: You’ll need to bring whatever materials you’ll need to make your game; be that your computer, charger, paper, pens, color pencils, your brain. If you have questions about materials you might want to bring or use, please feel free to shoot us an email.  Please make sure that you've preloaded any tools you'll need to use on your computer.

Q: Will there be food and drinks?

A: Some small snacks will be provided, as well as access to as much tea, coffee, and water as you want. There's an excellent and reasonably priced vegetarian place right next door, as well as a variety of cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood.

Q: Is it okay if I need to leave early or arrive late?

A: Yes, but please let us know before hand if possible. Because the artists might not be there the entire time, it's more important to be there at the start of the jam so you'll have time to meet and talk with them.

Q: Can I participate remotely in this jam?

A: Unfortunately no. Given the personal and interactive nature of the jam, this is an on-site jam only.
