Amazing twist on Plants vs. Zombies with an additional thing to manage (activating monkeys using the fruit)!
I adore the twist you put on usual PvZ. The music felt great and I loved the plot as well. Gameplay felt tight and didn't bug.
How tough was it to crank out the art for this before the deadline? Any fun jank that happened during development? ^^

at first, we planned to make a game where you micromanage your monkey troops to attack the bots. my brother, who coded the game, restarted entirely 4 times on day 1 of the jam T-T the game was coded in only 2 days which is insane!! to save time, we switched to title-based movement, which is how it became a PvZ game.
i struggle with drawing anything mech, so designing robots was difficult, but making some of the robots have wheels or tank bases made them very quick & easy to animate as opposed to if they had legs :P there's a spider bot that was time consuming to figure out the animation, but i just thought a spider bot was so cool. which was my brother's idea x)
me and my brother hate breaks 🫡 we only took breaks when we felt like our brains were too mush to work. i finished the art with 11 hours remaining, then the game was submitted an hour later :D which i can proudly say is the first time we haven't submitted within the last half hour! :,D RELIEF!!!! we could've added more but it was nearing midnight and we were exhausted. this was a bit out of my brother's comfort zone because he's most comfortable with side scrolling bullet hell type games, but i think it is very very fun and i am very proud of him :D

at first I thought connor's sprite layer was set up wrong, but now I get it. He is meant to be on top of the trees, he is the king of the jungle!
i literally teared up there at the end! this was the best game i've played by you guys. it was, engaging, the balance was just right (i didn't loose any lives cause i'm a gigachad) the art, the music, the story, everything was on point!

Really cool game and take on tower defense! Really well balanced and actually makes you play strategically and not just spam everywhere (trust me it doesn't work ;) ).

Really fun game! As the AI boss came out, I had to stop spamming fruit and actually pay attention to what fruit I was throwing and where lol. Interesting take on the tower defense genre.

I started this game around 3:49pm....it is now 8:52pm as I finish this 😭
It SHOULD NOT have taken me 5 hours to beat this, but that's how addicting this is. I simply couldn't put it down till I won!! ✊🏽😤🔥
It also didn't help that it wasn't till the 4 and a half hour mark that I realized Connor had free will to move around the trees. So basically....I was playing this on untra hard mode 💀 (and almost won that way too!!)
Safe to say after I played the CORRECT way, I beat it in 3 to 5 tries 😅
Anyway- LUDWIG!? YOU WERE THE CAUSE OF ALL MY PAIN AND SUFFERING!?!?

This game is awesome, it's intense and addicting! Sometimes it gets tough to balance between checking the resources and map, but that difficulty really added to the intensity which I love. Definitely top 5 for sure!
