The dialogues are funny, but after a while when you keep repeating the same level because you don't have good response time, it gets a bit annoying, if it didn't repeat itself after every restart it would be great. Besides that, the sfx are great and gameplay feels good.

Quick time event : The Game

I probably increased permanently my reflexes by 10% just by practicing in this game ahah.

Fun stuff man! was tough in the beginning but after a while i started to get the hang of it^^.

Good idea adding SFX and effects to the combat. I made the combat more satisfying.

For feedback maybe you want to give a longer reflex time for the combat
(But at the same time, fast is fun too lol)

Good work!

The slashing+QTE mechanic was fun and it kinda reminded me of Mark of The Ninja's assassination mechanic. The voice acting was funny which contributes to the absurd tone of the game. I had the same problems mentioned by the other comments below but I'm sure these can be fixed easily after the jam.

P.S. I almost gave up on level 4 but I finished it. Still couldn't find Alex though.

A great game with an interesting slash mechanic, though I did keep on forgetting how many I had left. The game was full of neatly placed dialogue, but having a way to fully skip it ould be nice. Overall a great effort! 4 stars!

Great game! I absolutely loved the voice sound effects! really gives the game character. There were also little bits of polish that I liked like the old school monitor distortion and the bullet-time effect. I felt like a QTE god.

A couple nitpicks:

- I wish there was some sort of UI to show how many slashes I had remaining for the level. It wasn't clear to me how I regain a slash or how it's expended

- someone else mentioned it, but not having the dialogue play at the start of every level would have been nice

- I also feel like there was too much dialogue. I don't think it was necessary to have some at every level, when a new mechanic is introduced, let the game show it. (for example, I don't think dialogue is necessary when introducing the moving enemies. I also think it would have been better to let the player figure out they need to conserve enemies to make a proper path in the last level).

Overall, great work! Really enjoyed it!

Kept getting stuck on Level 2 it wouldn't let me slash anything else after the first one. Reloaded and same issue, tried it once more and that was the ticket I think it's a problem with unity! Pretty inventive little title, I liked that the cursor couldn't go AROUND objects, that was real nice game feel!

This game is pretty fun, but was hard for me since in not a fast typer. The sound effects are so good also.

I love the premise of the game, I can see it has a fully fledged project. And it looks and sounds great (special bonus point for voice SFX :) ).

I have some issues though:

  • most of the time when I miss a QTE nothing happens, but I can't do anything and need to restart. A death animation would have been nice, or even an automatic restart, it is confusing at the moment
  • talking about restart, skip the dialogue after the player has seen it once (also, make it so space doesn't restart the level during dialogues, or even allows to skip them)

Overall though, great job!

Thank you so much for the feedback, I recognized these issues but due to time constraints I didn't have time to fix them, after the Jam I think I will return and fix this
