Mix and Game Jam is a game development marathon with the objective of creating a game in 48 hours! Since the Youtube Channel is all about mechanic recreations - the jam will be unique because the theme for it will be based on a similar approach!
What was the theme?
MIXING GENRES! (Theme Reveal - Official Video)
When creating your game, developers took two different game genres and mixed them together!
Here are some examples of games that do that:
- Rocket League - Soccer + Racing
- Portal - Puzzle + FPS
- Typing of the Dead - Education + Rail-shooter
- Crypt of the Necrodancer - Rythm + Roguelike

Do I have to use a specific program to build the game?
No, you can make your game anywhere! Just make sure it runs on Windows or browsers!
What assets can I use?
The vast majority of code must be written during the jam, but you can use whatever assets you have the legal right to use.

Rules
- Your game must be made within the time frame.
- You can use whatever engine you want.
- Updates are allowed after the game has been submitted and ranked.
- No harassment of any kind.
- No NSFW content, offensive content, excessive gore/violence.
- You are allowed to use pre-made assets!
Voting Criteria
The jam submissions can be ranked by any user - that way it's easier to identify what games are most popular in the community! It's important to remember that this does not mean that one game is better than the other - I'll make sure to try and play as many games as possible so I can have my feedback!
