The art and style are perfect, but unfortunately, I find that the sound of the jumps takes us out of the universe. The gameplay is very cool, especially the dash, which is perfect. I would recommend you add humanoid enemies; with your graphic style, you'd get a nice rendering. Very good and polished game !

Beautiful game. The levels I played were well-laid out.... once I learned that I had a double jump. I wish that was taught to me in the beginning, as it made me better understand what the game wanted me to do once I figured it out! Overall clever idea, and I enjoyed watching the ink trail behind me. :)
Thanks for nice words. I kinda agree on the intersting level design part but I can't quite put my finger on what's *really* missing. More thematic level design (blending flavour + mechanics)? Tighter controlls and platforming? A more intersting core mechanic + implementation (like crossing out words with the dash) ?
Playing it for the second time I would say that the design is fine, I am not a level designer either to say how it could be improved. But it will say that the game would feel better with an adjustable double jump(intead of 3), depending on how long you hold the key. That coupled with a shorter dash and a more polished walljump I think would make the game feel better and more responsive. But is difficult to say, jams are good chance to test and see other peoples opinions.
I love this game, the idea, great graphics and the engagement from replayability. The only thing I’m missing is the ability to use a keyboard key to “continue” after dying instead of using the mouse.
