Wow that's some great presentation overall!

Also cool concept, but I just couldn't get along with usig both mouse and keyboard that way felt weird to me, unless I missed something. Still, applause.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for the nice words about game's presentation ^^

Yeah. I Know. Using WASD, Space, And keyboard in videogames at the same time is pretty uncommon. It's like playing twister with your fingers.

Now, jokes appart, what was wrong with using mouse and keyboard at the same time? XDDDD or maybe I misunderstood.

Rather nice ideas and concepts here, although I feel like the time limit for you to shoot the bubble should be a little longer or should vary depending on the distance between it and maybe the furthest target from it. Still, it's a rather nice entry with some great presentation

Really well done! The gameplay took a bit to get the hang of, but that just means it's pretty unique. There was only one situation that frustrated me during my playthrough - one of the jumping blobs got stuck on the far left of the map, and the bubble spawn was on the far right. Not enough time to scoop up a bubble, dash across the map, and then catch it. Otherwise everything was fantastic!

Fantastic game! One of few that actually thought about the "Empty" theme so bonus points for you. I'm pretty impressed all around good work.

Submitted(+1)

Holy damn you did this in 3 days!?! Absolutely astonishing, can't say anything else.

Developer

Many thanks! your game is so good aswell :0

I'm impressed. I didn't expect so amazing game in game jam. Amazing graphics, music, gameplay. WOW!

Developer

Thanks!!! <3 ^^

I had a chance to play this before but never had the opportunity to come back and review, so im back now and couldn't resist having another playthrough!

This for me is a clear winner, its wonderful to find someone that polish's their work to such as high standard for a minigam, and its wonderful to see. The artwork was fantastic, stylish and thematic throughout. Consistency in design is what sets many devs apart from one another and you nailed the goal you set out. It was truly a joy to be in the enviroments (though the doors for completing the round do get lost and dont stand as much as I would like).

Controls were okay, good enough to play this game and enjoy everything it has to offer. Whilst I am not saying your controls are wrong or bad, it merely came down to preference for myself. I believe you did great and you can't please everyone. Jumping and falling off ledges was a great feeling as the animation was unique for each action, I especially enjoyed the blue trail you left behind.

Tutorial and instructions were clear and the levels were varied enough for a diverse experience, fantastic work for the polish AND getting a decent amount of content in too! Would have loved to see the timer a little less punishing or 'close'.

Fantastic Work!

Developer

wow, i think i'm gonna cry, many thanks for your words, your game's art is super polished too!
Yeah, the movement between rooms could be more intuitive and many people had other preferences according to input, I'll use that feedback on future games!

This really is an amazing game given the time-frame, the presentation of all the individual parts is excellent and the polish on all of them creates a game which is fully realised.

No negatives to speak of here, well done!

Wow that was awesome! Very well executed congrats it was awesome! Take all my stars :D

I've just encounter some bugs where a bat was gone behind the ground while flying around.

Developer

Thanks for the rating!!! Sorry for that bat going behind the ground. 3 days to see all those details... Truly hard ;u; thanks again! 💚

And it's really well done, you can be proud of your work! :)

Loved the game. The gameplay and graphics feels so good. Lovely presentation. It doesn't completely fit in the limitation but overall a really good entry.

Developer

Hii thanks for the kind words, may I ask why the game doesn't fit in the limitation for you? So i can improve the game or maybe you've been unlucky and saw the same room in the same place on two runs

Submitted (2 edits) (+1)

I actually could not understand it at first but nevermind got it it's roguelike. I actually so the same room in 2 runs that's why it was confusing tho good work

Submitted(+1)

I am actually AMAZED ! this is simply good, love the concept with the bubble that shoots bubbles that recharges with bubbles, engaging enemy types for the short time allocated.

Love the visuals, first thing that strike me was the quality of the visuals compared to the rest of the games I have reviewed so far from the game jam, great button prompt visuals and the clear.

Mind if I ask why we had access to the door to go back a level since it was essentially useless from my experience. Gonna play this game more later for sure.

Really good work.

Developer(+1)

Hi tony! First of all many thanks for your words! 💚

About the back doors: the game level is procedurally generated, the dungeon isn't linear and a room can lead to another 2 or 3 as maximun. So you shall backtrack to explore other rooms. In other hand: when you clear all the rooms you have to return to the beginning in order to get to the end of the game ^^"

Ah I see, very interesting game design, love it.

I’m not that good at these types of games so I’ve mostly been dying and enjoying my time in the early levels ^^

Submitted(+1)

An all-around polished game! The presentation is very good, and the gameplay is very interesting (I like the idea of capturing the enemies, as opposed to killing them).

I love the backtracking and permanence that was given to the game, which showcases your progress as you return back to the start.

My only few things that I felt could be adjusted was that the controls feel a bit floaty at times (which can be tedious at times whenever you have to walk back and forth between the recharge),  and that the bubble shot should be registered on lifting the mouse, instead of when you press down on the mouse. :)

Submitted(+1)

Wow. This is actually amazing. It feels very polished, the art and music is great, the gameplay is fun, it even has a cutscene and everything. I don't really have any complaints, great job!

Submitted(+1)

Looks insanely polished and the game controls and sound design is amazing!

Submitted(+1)

Amazing! I just wish there were more levels.

Developer

Play a couple of times, the room pool isn't so large, but maybe you didn't saw everything yet! ^^

Submitted(+1)

Ah I see. I saw some of the levels more than once, so I thought I'd seen them all. There was quite a bit I didn't notice the first time through.

Submitted(+1)

Polish level for this game is insane, great job. Honestly my only two gripes are that the jump for the bubble felt a little 'floaty' and that aiming felt finicky - but those are really, really minor quibbles. Amazing work.

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

What an amazing game! I hope to be great artist like you one day. A small thing to improve is changing the colors of the exit and enter door to be different. I kept getting confused there. This is pretty much a perfect game for the jam though so magnificent work!

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Wow, wow, I can't believe you made such a polished game in three days! I was hooked and played it to the end. The laser-emitting enemies were cool, but they killed me!

Developer(+1)

Nice to see you here! Gotta play your game soon, those laser enemies are the worst, better to keep them in bubbles

Submitted(+2)

Really impressive! I loved the art, sound and UI. I really like the title screen being a tutorial level, it helped me understand the game before I even got started.

Feedback wise, i think the doors as the end of the level could use some work. I didn't notice the first one appear so was stuck for some time. And kept finding myself back tracking a lot because if there were multiple doors I wasn't sure which one went where. In the power up room I also jumped into the first powerup before I realised that if you stand under them it would tell you what they are.

Very good though, a level of polish I would love to achieve for my own games.

Developer

Sorry about those little details, i'll come back and make some little adjustments to make the doors stand out a bit more without changing anything else, plus, many thanks for the feedback!
