If yes then try speedrunning my submission.

(this is totally not an attempt to get more ratings)

Okay so - I TRIED to play your game, I gotta say- visually, I love it! It's very pretty and I like the section where a building is cut in half so you can see inside as you enter it, I also love the fish alien in a ball character, it's cute as hell. I just can't bring myself to continue though, I got to the section in the sky with the airplane and fell back down to the cars, and I gave up there as I got "Getting Over It" vibes at that point. I didn't realize your game was so rage-inducing (by design! That's not a negative thing in this situation) but I wasn't aware of it just based on the name or title screen of the game.

The one REALLY unfortunate thing about this game that I feel could be pretty easily fixed would be to have an indicator to tell you when the cooldown has expired, or SOME way to gauge it. It doesn't even have to be a progress bar, it could just be an icon or something that changes color when it's ready to use again. Not knowing when the cooldown is over has caused me to miss several well-times jumps, or accidentally use an attempt and just sit there waiting to have another go, and both times I feel like I made a mistake even though I really just had a lack of understanding of when the ability recharged.

One other thought - I was thinking it might be good to have code that checks the angle you're facing, and if you're facing straight down, or down-left or down-right, it wouldn't allow you to use your jump action, just so you don't waste a turn. There do seem to be a few ways to use downward force to bounce off of things, so maybe this should be left in. I tried using that to come up with tricks, but I couldn't personally. So maybe speedrunners can figure that out, but for an average player I could see something like that being sorta helpful so they don't waste a turn as I mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Final note: I love your level design, you really have a good knack for it it seems! I liked going through the buildings, moving through a parking lot, your choices for obstacles were pretty fun and interesting, and I like your off-screen details, like most of the time you'll never see them but the flying helicopters holding your platforms up helps make it feel more plausible than just generic floating platforms. All of your models are really cute too! And I love the colors in this game. Anyway, I won't be speedrunning it since I rage too much, but I did enjoy the game overall! Just please add a cooldown indicator :)

Thanks for trying it out :) the original plan was to give a similar feeling to getting over it (because im a huge fan of Benett Foddy's games)

I agree that a smaller more visible indicator for the jump would have been better

After the jam voting ended i plan make a bit more flashed out version of the game with all the feedback that i got, so the indicator and the angle checking because they will seriously improve the game

And again thanks for playing it :)
