We really dig this little experience! The only thing that lower its score is the graphics, even with the 3 hour effort it could be better! :-)
thank you so much! I agree the graphics are horrendous! Haha :)
I'm going to be turning this into a full game based on the feedback here, no pressure but please feel free to follow here and/or @madebymelwing on Twitter for updates :) take care
I liked the character art a lot! Also, was unexpected to be climbing down the tower -made the platform play style feel more fun! Very challenging too! Great work!! :D
Thank you so much for the kind comments!! It really means a lot to me. I'm turning this into a full game based on all this great feedback, so feel free to toss me a follow here or at @madebymelwing on twitter if you want to follow :)
I cannot take credit for the character art though, it's a creative commons cc0 from somewhere, but I agree- he's adorable :)
Awesome!! :D
I like how simple the game design is, loved the level design but it was a tad bit hard. maybe you could add a feature that allowed the player to go a bit higher the more the held down the jump key because there was a part that felt like the jump wasn't high enough.
It's a good game overall. Can't wait to see it when you release it as a full game
Thank you for the feedback! I built the jumps all based on his current jump height so i'm not sure which one gave you trouble. But I'm sorry you had an issue! I will definitely look into a variable jump height (like your suggestion) in the full version :) I'm at @madebymelwing on twitter if you'd like to follow (no pressure), i've already started working on the full game
It's simple. I liked the level!
Really solid for three hours! Super tight, easy to learn and a good challenge. though as someone said the death animation is a bit long and you can move from during it!
thank you so much for playing and for your kind comment :) yeah I honestly didn't realize the death animation was so long until I uploaded it, that will definitely be fixed. Based on all the nice feedback here I'm planning on turning it into a "full" game.
Thanks again!
I think I have seen this frog before...
This game makes me want to finish faster, like sonix, seens like a pretty good speedrun game but also to rage sometimes, overall, pretty good to 3 hours. Congrats!
Hahah Pablo gets around, doesn't he? Hehehe. I really appreciate your comment, it makes me very happy (really). Based on all this great feedback and kind words, I've decided to flesh this out into a full game with proper graphics. Really big thanks to you, your comment made my day :)
Have the potential to become a cool speedrun game. But I felt cheated when I touched the red stuff and could still make my way a bit further and then I died :P
Thank you very much for trying it out, i appreciate your feedback. Haha yes! On my final playthru I noticed how long the death animation lasts and it kind of pissed me off too! I didn't have time to fix it :)
Based on all this great feedback and kind words, I've decided to flesh this out into a full game with proper graphics.
Challenging and fun platformer. A run timer and death counter might add to its speed running appeal.
Thank you so much for playing. If I continue working on the project I will definitely add those things! :)
Based on all this great feedback and kind words, I've decided to flesh this out into a full game with proper graphics. I will definitely add a timer and death counter if possible. Thanks again!
Nice Job for 3 Hours, but the Level Design could get some improvements.
This level is so difficult
Thank you for playing and for the feedback. For sure, I definitely agree-- but when I had to make the choice to go too easy or super hard, I went with super hard. Definitely would've made the difficulty progression better if I'd given myself more time. I appreciate it!
