fun also the way you use weight is un-creative but still a good game
The mechanics are there for a decent 2d survival shooter, but there just needs to be more stuff going on. I don't this weight really factors in that much, but aside from that the game just needs more twists other than shooting and the night cycle, which honestly doesn't affect the gameplay that much. Not a bad start though, I can definitely see this fleshing out into something interesting.
I like the concept but it feels a bit slow. I also wish there was more of a reason to go up on the y axis.
Also I would Greatly appreciate it if you played/rated my game.
Cute little arcade-style shooter.
One point I'd like to make is that being anchored to the bottom of the screen each night does not fundamentally change the gameplay. It would be more interesting if there were more advantages to maneuvering on the Y axis, e.g. picking up powerups, taking cover, etc.
Thank you all for finding the annoying parts of the game I’m already thinking of ways to improve the quality of the game. Please keep the constructive criticism coming
I didn't understand what to do at first. Good for your first game. A few things that would improve the game a lot is, 1. have the monsters spawn outside the screen, a few times they spawned right on top of me. 2. a warning system a little before it turns dark. Otherwise it was good.
I can say that I genuinely enjoyed the gameplay on this one but it starts much too slow. I would have probably tried it a few times if it picked the pace faster. The falling was a fun mechanic. The colors were a bit too bright for me but my monitor also might just be really bright :) Great job on the game!
Very clean and simple! My suggestions would be to have the enemies spawn from the outside of the screen, because I found that they often spawn right on top of the player. I would also suggest some sort of indication of when it's about to turn night/day; like a 3 second countdown right before, it was a little disorienting when it would immediately switch.
nice work :))
good game but it doesn't fit very well within the jams limitation other than that it's a great game
