Wow, I never thought I would find interactive fiction here. Very well written, loved Disco Elysium and I think you got the essence of it. Nice job!
Thanks!
A great narrative game! Enjoyable writing and characterization, good utilization of UI throughout, and a smart usage of the limitation.
Thanks!
Never had played a game of this genre. Enjoyed the experience! I found two endings (spoilers ahead, be careful if you're a reader that haven't yet played the game). One sitting on the chair and relaxing. Another dying from the red candy. Was there a different way of finishing the game?
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! There's another final-ish ending once you've looked at everything and your character has figured out what's going on.
Good use of the button limitation. Never played a game like this before and found it very interesting.
Thanks! If you like this kind off gameplay, you might want to check out the interactive fiction tag on itch: https://itch.io/games/tag-interactive-fiction
If it's the multiple inner voices talking you liked, you owe it to yourself to play Disco Elysium.
It was an interesting visual novel! The presentation is neat! Goob job! :)
Thanks!
An interactive fiction for this minijam? Neat!
Thanks!
One thing I was not expecting to see in this Jam was a choose your own story type game- Love it! it definitely has a certain target audience, so this might not get quite as many reviews, but just know this was well done , minus a few small bugs of course.
Thanks for your kind words. I thought I'd smashed all the bugs, but I guess a couple slipped past me. Nothing gamebreaking, I'm sure...
This was fun. It's got a few points where things looped weird or an option didn't work quite as stated, but for the most part, a fun little narrative with a slight spooky factor. Sweets and Spooks!
Thanks! Getting everything to loop in an intuitive fashion was pretty difficult with the two-input style I stuck with. Maybe I should've opted for a mouse-driven interface with a "back" button instead. That would've also allowed for a scroll function in the text area.
