I liked that game, but I think it would be better if you tighten controls and make fun just wave killing without shops.

Developer(+1)

The controla are as snappy as possible, as It just shoots wherever the camera moves. And you're probably right about the shop, I just didnt think the Gameplay was interesting enough on its own, so I added the shop to spice things a bit. Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate It!

The game was cool!; "but it would be even better if it had a crosshair !!", any way it was good!!

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah, you're right. It's my first shooter thingy and I actually didnt think about it till now. Woops

Thanks for your feedback!

Looks good! Did you program any IA or do the enemies move in set paths?

I've included NavMesh agent & enemy AI for their movement

It is very hard for me to aim with no crosshair. Also the boxes are too small for me. This game is hard, very hard. But it's fun and I playd it a while :)
Good job.

Developer(+1)

I lowered the difficulty several times until I found It just right, but it's true I was already so used to how It worked that It's probably still too hard. And yeah, a crosshair would be helpful, I didnt think about it...

Thanks for playing and for the feedback, I appreciate It a lot!

I have the same problem with my games. I lower the difficulty so even I can win it and forget than because of testing and "perfect" knowledge about game mechanisms, I became a true master of my own game. Then even my brother wasn't able to win it and he is pretty skilled, so I know this very well.

You can make difficulty choosable, lower it for casual players but give them option to play "hardcore" or "nightmare" or whatever mode. It can help your game to be playable by more players and still give the most skilled ones opportunity to show their talent.

I probably should have asked a friend to test the Game, but It was so rushed... I kept tinkering with It till the last moment.

The difficulty setting is a good idea and not that difficult to inplement in the game is its just a Matter of changing the speed and hitbpoints of the cine.

Next Jam i'll do better, Hope to see you there!

The small amount of time is the best and worst part of this jams :D

cool little game. the gameplay is enjoyable and i like the inclusion of a shop. the art is basic but gets the job done. i found myself dying because the enemies were too fast for me to possibly shoot, is this intended or do i just need to gitgud?

Thanks for the feedback! I was able to beat the game, so it's doable, but the difficulty curve is a mess, It gets brutal near the middle and if you get through that, then it's a breeze.  I spent a solid 2 hours trying to smooth the difficulty, but I just run out of time.

You get a big powerspike with the second fire power upgrade, as you become able to oneshoot the basic enemy, so get that asap
