I still boot up this little jam game sometimes. Honestly really good work man!

Really enjoyed the game and its details like the quirkiness of the actors, the reviews, the atmospheric music. It’s fun being able to customise the film’s name, movie set design, music selection and actors. It's amazing you made this in 72 hours.

Also, I haven't been able to meet his salary demands yet, but I like John Movie's versatility, being both an actor and reviewer. It’s quite funny that he has the power to give his own films critical acclaim or badly review them (which might be a conflict of interest for him and perhaps the filming studio, but he's just being honest so that's ok).

Had fun playing this game! Great job!

Developer

John Movie is a true renaissance man, and his doctors say that he has never expressed a non-objective thought in his entire lifetime. The only time he ever cracks if he hears anything bad about ponies.

Seriously though, thank you for playing my game! I'm glad you liked it. I'm going to be adding more features to it in the future so stay tuned!

Very fun! I would have added a way to sell props after you bought them, because my first scene looked significantly better then anyone other scene. I had to resort to Baar signs lol.

Other then that, I really liked my time with this game! Its amazing that you could do this all in 3 days! :D

Developer

Yeah I kind of overlooked a sell feature during development, I can add that into the next patch if you like!

Loved every second! I think if you fleshed it out and added more stuff and maybe even refine the art, it would be worth putting it on steam!

Developer

Thank you! I'm new to making my own 2D art so maybe once I'm more experienced, I can go back and remaster this! I'm honored that you think it might be good enough for steam one day.

Great! It looks hilarious and the fact that you could make this in 3 days is mind boggling! great work!

Developer

Thank you so much! I worked very hard on this and I'm glad you like it!

I like the idea of the game and I'm amazed by how much you've achieved on your own in 72 hours. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the first movie, because the scenes didn't save. I think not having scenes in my film because of that, also caused my instant bankruptcy. Wish it worked for me, because it looks really cool and the music is amazing

Developer

can you explain by what you mean by the scenes didnt save? Did they not appear as you made them in the editor? If not i can try and fix this for you!

(Try going to your documents folder and looking for a moviejam folder, thats where the saved data is stored)

Great game! But the actors stopped showing up after the 2nd movie. :(

Oh, that doesn't sound good. I'll try and look into that issue for you! Thank you for playing!

I like budget McCree and all the other knock-offs. Clearly a lot of work went into this, and it definetly paid off. The game is fun and entertaining, if just a bit buggy (directed an entire film where none of the actors showed up, and it was just a gun sitting there with spacy background music.. an instant classic in my book).

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I'm working on patching up the bugs to make sure this game has a higher replay-ability factor. I'll look into that issue for you.

Good fun, creative idea, overall good game!
(bit hard to get the first movie to be good, but it aint really a problem)

Developer(+1)

The reason I made it hard to make a good movie first is because most first endeavors tend to be lackluster, and I wanted to mirror that in my game! I wanted the player to feel growth as they watched their reviews get higher and higher and eventually score that top position of 10/10 (which I haven't even achieved yet!) Thank you for playing!

Very creative game!!! A few bugs here and there but truly cool idea!
