Guardian Angel was a lovely  entry, the concept would definitely be something that could be implemented in a longer game with different levels ! It has this really relaxing puzzle side to it that is definitely enjoyable. For one reason or another, I kept thinking that the angel character was able to fly through the walls aha. The sound effects reminded me of the ones in Nier Replicant a little bit

Cool game! Best of luck for the jam ! ♡

This is an awesome idea, I enjoyed and I thought how the theme was incorporated was beautiful.

Really interesting idea. The absence of light gave to the guardian angel a nice explorative function. I like the division of roles between the two characters. The inventory limitation was not really used, since in my playthrough i never had more than one object in the inventory. I really liked it! Keep up the good work!

thank you so much!! Agreed, our inventory limitation isn’t very limiting lol. Maybe if we had several more side questy items/puzzles to solve, then it would require a little more strategy and make more sense. Thanks for playing and for the feedback :)

I really enjoyed playing this! I'm not really sure on the purpose of the guardian angel. I didn't try it, but it felt like he wasn't actually needed. I also didn't do anything with the picture, but I completed the game, so I'm not sure what that was about. If the angel could interact with objects, rather than removing darkness, then that would bring a whole new level to the puzzles.

Super neat concept, odd house layout, loved it. Brought me back to the games I used to play on Newsgrounds. Nice work!

So glad you liked it! The angel is needed to teach the child how to fix/where to put each item (the “investigate” option only shows for the angel and is needed for the child to collect or fix it). The picture is just there for some extra lore and to make the inventory slots a little more valuable since you only get 2. But since there’s only really 3 things you can collect I can see why it feels a bit random - maybe with even more non-essential items it would make the puzzles and winning a bit more challenging. Thanks for playing and for the feedback! :)
