As I'm sure you already know, the actual gameplay was on the simple/easy side, but you absolutely NAILED it with the ambience and art and I LOVE the comic intro--so unique, well-executed, and super cool. In my opinion, the actual gameplay concept is there too (and suits the narrative wonderfully)--with a little more time to design and balance and a little extra juice, this would be absolutely perfect. I really loved it!

I love the visuals you went with. You pulled off the comic-style well and it actually made the story parts a lot better than if they were just text with a background image or similar. The gameplay was a bit easy and animations would have made it even better, but that's very minor. On the whole it was a fun little story and a fantastic entry!

I really like the music the dragon art! Some simple animations would be great. Also some more juice when you hit ships (like maybe particle explosions) would make it way better but good game nonetheless. Nice submission!

The art is great and sold the mood really well! I wish there were effects for every ship you sunk and a little more challenge, but that's about it.

Very fun little game! I enjoyed the colorful art and felt very powerful striking lightning down on the goblin ships. The only challenge was the final battleship- everything else felt smooth and easy. The comic-style intro was a great touch! Really enjoyed this one. Nice work!

I really liked the concept, especially the comic-game hybrid part, that was very cool. The art was very pretty as well and I found myself just really enjoying making lightning even when there were no goblins just because it was so pretty. It was a bit on the easy side but still a great story experience. I had fun, good job!

Love the artwork and the comic panels! I didn't need to use the whirlpool on my first run, and when I used it on my second I found it a bit underwhelming. Overall the concept was awesome! Great job.

The art is super pretty and i love the sound effects and the story. The gameplay is a little too simple. I wish it was a bit more challenging. Maybe you can add a cooldown on the lightning attack as i can just spam it for now and don't have to use the whirlpool lol. Other than that, really enjoyable experience..!!!

thanks for playing! Definitely looking into balancing the lightning and whirlpool with cooldown and maybe adding more waves of enemies!

Thank you! :D

It seemed original to me, but it seemed very short

Thanks for playing! In the future I'm looking to challenge myself to make a longer game!

On the visual side, this is probably the best game of this jam, very unique art style, I love it. The gameplay definitely lacks something, although I struggle to define what. Maybe some punishment for using the abilities in a bad way, like putting the lightning on longer cooldown, if it misses a ship? Also some audiovisual feedback for hitting a ship would be great.
Well done!

Thanks for the tips! For the next update I've been thinking of something like a cool down too (hadn't had time to figure that out yet). I'll definitely add some sound effects and some animations
