I made the enire Island on a grid, and even time is on a grid! (kind of, it's just turn based.)

This piece is great. A turn based minecraft without building so to say. I had a lot of fun upgrading to a perfect sword and kill those ghosts. Like the upgrade system, that a chop and a pick give more material. The world design is astonishingly big.

Great Job.

The game lacks feedback on most actions and could improve a lot with even just little feedbacks on the players actions but as for the time you worked on the game, It's still a great achievement keep pushing!

Controls were a bit wonky, but I figured it out. It is a full working game, and that's what counts. Nice job!

Really great job getting this completed for the jam! I thought this was pretty cool, I really liked the day night cycle until the ghosts beat me up :P

For some reason for me the scene has a really heavy dithering effect on the textures that makes the game hard to see sometimes. Not sure if that is intentional or just browser export weirdness. Either way, great stuff!

Developer

it's intentional, but I could remove it. I added it because most of the graphics were (and still are) just colored squares, so I wanted to add a little visual flair. removing the dithering makes the game look very plain, as seen in the cover photo. thanks for the review though!

I had a hard time realizing that moving required clicking near the character at first.  I clicked further out and nothing happened.  I would say it could use audio feedback, or instruction on that.  I also found it hard to know if I would be hurt by the ghost or not.

Developer

these are both good suggestions, I'd implement them at this point, but for the gamejam only the original submission is allowed, and I don't know how much further I want to take this game outside the jam.
