We enjoyed the concept and use of limitation in this game, particularly the idea of having to plan your shots ahead of time. The variety of enemy types was also interesting. However, we felt that the execution of the planning-ahead concept could have been better. There was no real strategy involved in where to place your shots, and the time stop mechanic didn't match well with the quick pace of the bullet hell genre. Ultimately, we found ourselves just kiting the enemies and shooting in their direction when time stopped. Nonetheless, the game feels cohesive and we enjoyed playing. Good job!

Pretty cool game. For accessibility purposes some of the projectiles are hard to see like the meteors. The projectiles should be clear and have enough clarity for visibility purposes. The parallax background also does not help. For clarity purposes a good idea would be to play without saturation, or on an OLED screen in different lighting environments.
However, I love the concept of dodging in one phase and having an offensive phase. But there isn't much nuance in the attacking phase besides just running up to an enemy and dying if you crash. The limited fire rate is also a bit janky, maybe having a limited amount of ammo counter that is visible would be cool. This would also have a lot of flavor in a "warp drive effect" or a burst laser weapon charging. The movement also does not feel snappy. The acceleration affect from the spaceship thrust combats the feel of having a satisfying evasion phase.
Other than that, it is a good concept. The sprites are cute and enemy concepts are great. I enjoyed playing this game : D
The idea sounds fine on paper but I don't think it works that well with the ten seconds limitation. To me, 10 seconds without being able to shoot felt like an eternity, and once time is frozen the restriction on the laser is very frustrating, I whish I would not have to wait that long between two shots. The second wave of enemies is also very brutal, and some of them are unforgiving. I never got pass the second wave. Those jellyfish are not joking around...
For this idea to really work, in my opinion, the phases should be more connected. Something like the more thing you dodge while time is flowing, the more time you'll have when enemies are frozen.
Even though it didn't click for me, I can still see the great amount of work you put into it, and I do think the idea is good, it just needs some tweaking to work.
Reached like ~1000 points. Probably not the best score :D Really like the sound design and especially the game design. This is one of those projects where the limitation really bred creativity. Very nice!
Not sure if going out of bounds of the game is an intended mechanic or not, but it helped me quite a bit :D
Game gets really chaotic fast was like this is okay then the third wave happened and had tanks jelly fish rocks and other stuff everywhere on screen I even ended up dieing because of said rocks ran into one well the game was frozen lol. Nice game other than that music and art work really well for the style as well.
That's a concept for the limitation I really haven't seen before.
Really cool game overall.
It definitely deserves more ratings.
I think its unfortunate that this is download-only, so not as many people will play it.
I really like your game mechanic, it is a lot of fun. The only critiques I have are that the difficulty/enemy count ramps up a little quickly and can be hard to keep up with, and that the number of lasers is unlimited so you can afford to spam them and be less strategic.
The art reminds me of old DOS games, so all good there as well.
This is my favorite game of the jam so far, I can't believe I'm the first to rate it. Excellent work.
thanks for playing! glad you liked it
