Use of the limitation
Your spacecraft only has 10 seconds of burn time remaining to navigate through an astroid field. The player has to use the gravitational pull of nearby astroids to reach their space station.

Cookies eaten
I ate this 180 gram can of peanuts. Not sure it if counts but that was the only thing remotely close to what is described here.

pretty fun! though i felt like the asteroid gravity mechanic was a bit weird, i couldnt really figure out how to use it.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

I'll try  to better communicate the principles of the mechanics.
Can you describe what kind of help you need as a player?
Like a more extended tutorial or rather some visual guidance?

Submitted(+1)

Very cool concept! Although orbital mechanics are well beyond me.

Would be nice to have had some UI or even just the list of controls in the window instead of having to go into another menu.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

You make a good point.
I'll make sure to add it in the v1.3 release.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Just released update v.1.3.
I made sure to add a little tutorial box with the controls when starting a level for the first time.
Thanks again!

We really enjoyed the concept of the game, and the aesthetics were well-done. Overall, it was a great experience!

I'm sorry, I downloaded your game but I can't run it. I tried to download Python but it didn't help :(

Developer

So sorry to hear that.
I see what I can do if possible.
Can you provide  some detailed steps to reproduce the issue?
Also what operating system are you playing on?

Submitted

I'm on Windows 11. As for reproducing it, I just downloaded the zip file, unzipped it in a new folder and tried to launch the exe. It pops a console that disappear instantly, so I can't read what it says.

Developer

Is there a possibility you put it in a folder located in "Program Files (x86)" or "Program Files"?
I for example put downloaded games within a folder in my Documents folder, since some Programs won't work if they're put into the aforementioned folders.

Submitted

No, it's in my download folder where every other games I downloaded is, so I don't that's the problem 🤔

Developer(+1)

Sorry, I've tried to look into this and find out what could cause this problem but couldn't find the issue. 😞

It's OK, no worries

the gravity thing was a interesting twist to the game play. really needed to use it to even get anywhere in level 3 didn't beat it though kept running out of fuel before I was able to get to some of the rocks to sling shot off of.  Nice game though well done.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

My approach to level 3 is to use the astroids on the right side of your starting position.
With a bit of timing you should be able to sling shot  3 of them until you're close enough to the space station.

Incredible graphics, interesting concept, and great sound design. My only critique is I finished level 1 & 2 without even realizing asteroids had their own gravity. Other than that, great game!

Developer

Thanks!
I made it specifically so that you can theoretically reach your goal by burning all of your remaining fuel to reach the space station without considering the gravitation of the astroids in the first missions.
However, the less fuel remains the lower your score will be. I implemented it this way so the player is encouraged to use as little fuel as possible.
The score is calculated by this formula:

Score = (((remaining_fuel_time + 1) * 100) / elapsed_time) * 1000

So basically in order to get the highest score you have to complete the mission as quickly as possible with as much fuel left as possible.
But I think I'm gonna mention this ingame at some point in future updates, so thank you for the comment. It was really helpful.

Super cool game, really well made, deserves a podium in my opinion, good luck, only one improvement would be to make more levels, with earlier ones having less asteroids.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, unfortunately I couldn't do more levels due to the time constraint.
But I'll keep that in mind for possible future updates.
