nice amount of mini games not sure if I saw them all got to 11 lost the jumping game twice till I realized you could jump multiple platforms in one jump.
Great little game to you and your team
Adorable game! I know most people think "Wario Ware" when seeing a game like this, but this brought me to the Nintendo DS days with Feel the Magic: XX/XY, but now with cats! (and without the relationship aspect, ofc).
I feel like there's a lot of love/effort put into this, especially in the cutscenes and animations. Good job!
Oh yeaaaah I can see the resemblence to Feel the Magic. Thanks for playing, we definitely put a lot of love into this and we're happy you liked it!
Mini-game hell is the way to go! I had a blast, and the pixel animations and art is pretty amazing.
Thanks Mint! I'm sure our artists will appreciate the compliments :)
Wow I really loved this one! The minigames were creative. Nicely use of the theme. Beautiful pixel art and fun music.
The only negative points are that some minigame tips disappear very quickly, not letting me read them. Luckily, they weren't really necessary since most of the minigames are pretty intuitive. Also, I had the impression that the precision of the minigames to defeat the cockroaches is not so accurate and some minigames would be more interesting using the keyboard keys (like the minigame of pushing the object on the table).
Great entry! And Good job!
PS: My hi-score was 27450
Thanks for the compliments! We definitely could have polished the controls up to make it feel more easy to use and lengthen the time the tips stay on screen.
This game is really cool! I like these fast paced minigames warioware style. I like the fact that most of the minigames can be played on mobile too. And how did you even get the time to make all these artworks
Thanks for the compliments! It's thanks to our artists that we managed to pump out a lot of the art for the game!
Maybe my favourite game of the jam yet! The mini games were all very fast paced, while not being overwhelming, and of course the art was wonderful! Sometimes the controls did feel a little unintuitive, but thats pretty expected when a game like this is made in only three days - you guys did a great job overall :)
Honored to have this be your favourite of the jam! Yeah the time crunch really didn't let us focus on the quality of life, I'm sure you know how that goes ;-; . Glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for the compliments!
Reminds me of the dumb ways to die game. I love it!
Thanks for the compliments!
Love the ideas of mini games.
Thoses with cursor movement was really hard.
I didn't get the logic with the theme name?
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah we could have polished the cursor movements up but we were rushing to get the game done, but thanks for playing!
Also what do you mean by "didn't get the logic with the theme name"?
I got the "Cats" but what about the "²" ?
Oh haha. Cats² means that this is the second mini jam that had Cats as the theme.
Gameplay:
Really fun game, love the aspect of minigames as the things in a cats life. Struggled with controls: needing to click every time I scratch (Cat Scratch pole), or seeing the arrow keys pop up, and not being able to use keyboard WASD (Dodging needles). Etc.
Graphics: Some things aren't centered to each other on the screen, kind of bugged me. Otherwise, art is super cute, and music is fun to listen.
Thanks for the feedback! We wanted to use buttons for movement instead of WASD since we only wanted to use the mouse buttons for the game and wanted to make it accessible for mobile users , but in hindsight we could have added WASD for keyboard also.
Okay hey yeah the other programmer used out joint account to reply. The "we" there literally only meant him. I take no part in this man's idiocy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
You can really see the amount of effort put into this. There is more unique art in the scenes individually than i my entire game. And its way better. I like that you only need a mouse to play it.
Good job:)
Definitely couldn't have done this without our spectacular artists and yep, we really tried to stick with only mouse 1 and we're quite happy with how it feels. I'll be sure to check out your game when I have the time!
I frickin love this, great job!
Thank you!
Not a prob! check out our game if you got some time!
Will do :)
Really nice game, its like dumb way to die, the artwork sound effects and gameplay are really nice.
The textbox that contains the "mission" at the beginning goes away very fast, so you sometimes can't read it.
Hey thanks for playing! Yeah that's definitely a valid criticism, the amount of time that the "mission" stays on screen for is a pretty touchy value. Too short and we have your situation where it flies by way too fast, on the other hand if it's slow enough to read then it blocks gameplay for too long. I should've probably displayed the mission in another way. Anyways once again, thanks for playing!
I really enjoyed playing this game, the presentation is awesome, I only couldn't seem to get the "scratch the pole" and "rub the belly". I don't know why but the bar wouldn't go above 10% or something. Good job :)
Ah yeah that's probably because the way I did tracking of the mouse position meant that it's relative to screen size, meaning that the difficulty will vary depending on how big your game window is. Sorry about that but I'm glad you liked the game!
Awesome collection of minigames! I kept discovering new ones on subsequent plays and still haven't encountered the fatter cat boss fight from the screenshot. Presentation is top notch!
Thank you very much! Great to hear you liked the game :D
