The game is really solid. The only thing was I couldn't tell why or when my sword would disappear. I like that your health was also your sword instead of just getting one hit killed. Great entry.

the sword blinks if it disapears - should have made the light more visible on the player when that happens , very soryr for the inconvinience

becuase the controlls are for keyboard and Mouse and not for controller. Sorry - the inputs you get with you controller are standard from Unity and not setup

Beautiful Game! Really liked the lighting and the mirror effect. The movement feels very smooth too. 

Maybe the monsters killed between two checkpoints could respawn, when restarting at a checkpoint.

But nontheless really enjoyed it!! :)

thanks a lot, we early thought about respawning enemies, but the difficulty would spike and if you die, its hard to get back to a boss. We could have worked around that problem with just reloading the scene, but we choose not to.

well the assets are worth over 100€  and I never used them. I had to change the charakter sprites a lot, made additional animations and the whole UI is drawn by me. It was a lot of work and somewhat of 2 allnighters with less the 6 hours of sleep. Owlrrex who made the game with me made all of the code (most of it) himself, I got some old codes from older projects to get things running like room transitions or moving elevator platforms.
The level design was ... scoped down by half xD wanted a bit too much early on.

but it turned out to be very  big, and I love the level of polish we got into it. I am very proud on this work to be honest.

Lots of code that I'm not quite happy with in this game, but I guess that's part of the course for gamejams. Haven't jammed in a long time, was fun to work on! Thanks to everyone for trying it out!

yes its a lot of work - most split in half so I did one half and my teampartner the other half (most of coding) - we worked very nice together!
