Found a bug on the second game where the boy would display text like he won after taking the first piece. Then I would win, and his text would change, but when I would continue it would reset the game like I was clicking on the arrow after losing. Eventually I did make it through, and I'm glad I did, because... wow, that ending.

To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of your game until after the ending. I think that goes to show how much a powerful message can really affect how much you enjoy an experience.

I hope you all are able to stay safe. I know the war is just awful and my heart goes out to Ukraine.

For some reason this happens for some people🤷‍♂️ Anyway thanks for trying it out!

i love the very literal interpretation of the limitation here

The game has an important message and you did a good job to convey it to people.

Thanks a lot!

So far I rated quite a few games so I thought I seen it all. At first I was surprised at how unique the game was. There was detailed art and a fun mini game. Gameplay wise I was impressed with the opposing algorithms. Then I reached the third character and got hit in the feels. Games are a good was to express a message. Although it didn't fit in with the theme or limitation I think its fine because some message needs to be sent

Developer

Thanks a lot! I agree that this game is not quite fit the theme. The whole point was to disobey the rules and interpret the word button in an unexpected way. Than I got a bit carried away with story, but I think in the end it fits this game really well.

Ohhhhh, the playing pieces were buttons and you only get three. That was too creative for my brain

That was such a cool game! The game play was fun, and I loved the quirky-ness of the characters. The art was nice too! Very clever with how you incorporated the limitation haha.

Developer

Thanks! I glad you enjoyed it!

Fuck yeah, the most worthy thing I have seen in this competition

Thank you for taking the time to make this. I did run into a problem on the "boy" car game where I would get stuck and couldn't continue. Keep up the work!

So I did like this game - however I don't think it really followed the limitation. I completely agree with the anti-war sentiment (which is why I rate this game highly in presentation), but it seems a bit out of place in this jam.

Developer

Yeah I totally agree with you. The whole point was to disobey rules and think non-linearly. In any case, the topic did not indicate which buttons were meant. Everyone interprets the theme in their own way. That's the point of game jams - to see how people interpret the theme in their own unique way. Thank you very much for playing!!

Developer

also I don't know if you got it, but game still kinda fits the theme because you have only 3 buttons to defeat opponents

Submitted

Oh that's clever! I didn't really think of that haha

Hey, cool idea for a game, but I couldn't get past the second level with the buttons (against the boy with the cars) - when I won it sent me back to the start of that level and if I deliberately lost then it soft locked me :( - am I just missing something?

Same here. Glad it wasnt just me.

This never happened to me and my playtesters... maybe try enabling cookies on game page?
