Amazing game and concept. Loved it and enjoyed it a lot
Thank you! I’m glad that you enjoyed it!
I love this! The way that you placed the lights so we're forced to navigate without the light is such a great use of the limitation
Thank you so much!
Awesome game, solid concept that was well executed. Gets really hard when there is no light left in the room which makes the player want to avoid collecting the ones close to exit. One way platforms and coyote time would make the experience more enjoyable though.
Best game I have tried this jam, good job :)
Thank you for your feedback! Both things are planned. :-)
EDIT: Just released update 0.2.0 that adds one way platforms and coyote time!
Great game! It's really relaxing!
Thanks!
This is really well-done. Adorable graphics, great use of light and darkness, puzzles that make the player think.
I must admit that the game stumped me pretty quickly, though. I cleared the screen to the left of the start screen... then I managed to clear the screen to the right, but... for the life of me I couldn't escape.
Obviously this is a design choice, but I found myself wishing for the type of one-way platforms that you can jump onto from below, a la Contra. :)
Thanks for playing and for helpful feedback!
I agree that it can be hard to escape, especially on the last levels. Restart option is meant to help with that, but I guess it’s still hard to memorize everything! Though you could try to strategically collect lights in such order that leaves you with an escape path, it doesn’t require as much memorization.
I was thinking about making platforms accessible from below, but it’s a bit tricky, because they are part of the tilemap, so I needed to figure out how to modify individual parts of it at runtime. Maybe now that there’s no time limit I’ll get to it. :-)
Playing this game was pure enjoiment. The artwork, amazing. The Soundtrack, amazing. The generall atmosphere, created with the cavesounds and the soundtrack was realaxing and chill. Only one little bug i found:
When i collect the light in a room and restart the room, the counter for the collectet light will not be refreshed and i have still the same amount of light.
Lovly game, i enjoy it a lot. :)
I was going for a calm atmosphere, so I’m happy to hear that it worked for you!
I’m aware of this bug actually, will try to fix it soon. Thanks for reporting it anyway, at least I now know that someone noticed it. ;-) EDIT: Fixed the bug in 0.1.4!
Thank you for your warm comment!
This game was so good! I loved the style of uncovering more areas by collecting more candles, and by collecting candles you made the old areas dark and the new areas bright (revealed). Genius! The graphic were cute and simple, the music was soothing, and the restart button was VERY helpful. Great job!
It’s nice to hear that revealing more and more hub areas is appreciated, I spent quite a bit of time on it! And I was actually debating with myself on including the restart button, good thing I did, haha! Thank you for such a nice comment!
Such a sweet little gem of a game. Cute gfx and sweet music. Jumping took some fiddling around before I got the hang of it. Great work!
Thank you for such a warming comment!
Great work! Really liked the graphics, audio, etc. It was quiet challenging for me tbh, haha. i guess my memory aint that good.
Thanks for playing, I’m glad that you liked it! This game is indeed meant to test one’s memory. :-) But as an alternative, the levels can also be completed by strategically collecting lights in such order that you don’t have to return back through the darkness.
I collected them all and I gotta say this may be the best use of theme yet. Super good 5/5
Thank you, I’m glad that you enjoyed my game!
I got stuck somewhere. STEPBRO HELP ME!!!
Press Escape and “Restart”. This will restart the level. :-)
Love this game!! The art, music, and gameplay all tie in together so well. I also like how collecting the lights makes the game more challenging as you play.
Thank you so much! That is what I wanted the game to be about - being smart about collecting lights so you don’t get lost. :-)
It’s hard but it’s awesome in all aspects. Congratulations!
Thank you!
Very good animation. Also very good idea
Thanks!

Great game! I really liked it, and the idea is simple but very good implemented! The choice of graphics/sound and music also was on point.
I found it a little bit difficult and frustrating at some point, but I enjoyed the game. Congrats!
Thanks! I’m glad that you enjoyed it. I guess some levels can be a bit difficult, haha! Could you tell me which ones frustated you the most?
Beautifully done. The music was very relaxing and fit the game well. It makes you either memorize the layout or re-strategize the order of pickup. The overworld was such a nice touch. The levels were well designed and aesthetically pleasing and it was challenging without being unfair.
My only, tiny nit is that I think having wuupuu start facing left or with some kind of sign next to him would help the user figure out which way to go. My intuition is always to move right in platformers, and I thought the premise of the game was just jumping around in the dark for the first minute before I realized there was a whole puzzle in the next room over!
Seeing just his eyes glowing in the dark is a great touch. I feel like our games have a similar strategic premise, great minds think alike!
Thank you! It’s good to hear that the gameplay works as intended! You are right about facing left, I wanted to fix that during development, as well as include a small hint, but simply got distracted by other game issues.
I’ll make sure to check your game!
EDIT: I just released a small update that adds a hint arrow towards the first level and makes the character face left on game start.

Cool simple and sometimes hard platformer. I had stuck 10 times.
Thank you!
