It's a survival game where your only enemy is your own greed. The "hide from the sun" idea came from trying to turn the theme of darkness (which is usually seen as a negative) into a good thing.

The game has a potential but currently there is much things to improve. Good work!

Game looks really nice but i feel confused about what I am supposed to do.

Controls where hard to understand for me, i still dont think i got it, first time i accidentally clicked and didnt get to read any of the large text, and then didnt know how to get it back, so had to refresh the page, but still didnt recall,  i believe this would be improved with less buttons, e.g. you could have one button that cycles through the items you can build, and F to build it, and after you build something, the build menu dissapears, and then you can use F again to interact.. (a 2 button system)

nice game! It is appropriate with the theme and limitation, it took me a while to get a hang of it and survived a few cycles.  Very impressed with the light and raycasting. Congratulations!  keep it up!

Controls are a bit tricky but I love this concept and hiding in the shadows was really cool!

I survived for 7 cycles. It took me a while to understand how lasers work and I was pretty disappointed that they didn't turn rocks into crops.

I like the raycasting and the art (although the pixel scales don't match). Apart from my own game, I think yours is the only other one that depends on raycasting which I've seen so far.

The building controls felt a bit clunky. I'm not sure why, though. For the walls, at least, it's clear that they should be with a size of 3x1 instead of 2x1 in order to always be centered at the player's position.
