Really good entry, beautiful art, very polished ! I like that you even care about details like: the slime changes color in relation to how much hp he has :) I struggled a bit with fighting, i think would be better if the hit animation + range would be higher. Overall good entry, well done!

Cute and polished game. When I first started, I encountered a couple bugs:
- I could dash before unlocking it (including through slime blocks).
- Where the game thought the character was seemed to be different from where he actually was. The camera would transition between rooms in the wrong places, and even when I could see what I was doing, I'd randomly take damage when there was nothing nearby. The level collision still worked, however. Do you have separate boxes for the character's level collision and enemy collision? Perhaps they got out of sync.
After starting a new game, however, the issues seemed to go away.
I echo what other people have said about the attack range being too small. A small range could work, but it just doesn't mesh well, IMO, with the boss's size and speed.
I hope you continue this, I definitely enjoyed it. If you do, maybe you could experiment with more slime-based powers, like collapsing into a puddle to avoid enemies and go under low ceilings.
Man, that was a blast! Everything from the character moves to the abilities felt super smooth. And that music felt very fitting! Plus, those level designs were actually really well done. Great job! :D
The music man really rocking, all the tracks were great and the vibe in general! The controls are a bit tricky to get used but thats about it. The map is really good what was set up, well done!
Great entry!
The jump's a little tricky to get the hang of, but really suits the character. Dash feels good (though I often lost it on death) and the sound design is really good.
I think the Boss's health doesn't reset after death. Not that I'm complaining. If it really took that much cumulative damage, that thing would have taken me a while.
I found the bit after the Boss a bit tricky, but, gotta roll with the punches I guess.
I'll post my record when I upload it.
Here's my playthrough: MM21 - Goopy Don't Stick to the Dungeon
This is a well-made game! I like the art, especially the animations and the audio fits the pace of the game well. I like how you included control instructions but I think there could be a few more hints like a short tutorial on the combat system. It feels cohesive and overall a fun game to play!
Welp, you went pretty ham on polish, this would go as a finished product if it was a bit larger, but I do have a few annoyances.
For one, I think you just never explained how to attack? And you didn't really need to attack until the boss either, so I was just dodging the boss, wondering when it would be over forever.
The dash felt inconsistent because, for one, it only does the dash when you're holding into a direction, I really wish you were just able to dash into whatever direction you're currently facing without having to move. And it also just sometimes didn't work after respawning?
Knockback/the amount of time you were stunned for after being hit was also a bit over the top, though not a big deal at all due to the little focus on combat.
Overall, extremely polished, ending was... climactic, and some plus points for using godot hehe
I have to ask...how much health does this boss have?
Update: I beat the boss. Did you just--
Anyway, pretty fun game. Takes a few hits on enjoyment/execution mainly for the hitbox of the main character's basic attack being so small.
Could do with a bit more auditory feedback but the visual feedback piece was pretty OK.
But pretty fun besides that!
Very polished and clean game! Liked it a lot. Didn't really have any major gripes with this, you pulled it off well
Enjoyed the music of this game, especially the boss music. Like the visuals of the game in terms of range of colors of tiles of location and UI, fit game very well. Sometimes have bags - music dissapear or dash bagged. But anyway it was fun, appreciate your job.
What a great looking game! I loved the slimy UI and the little details of animation, the squash and stretch, the bubbles. Goopy was fun to control, and dashing through the celeste-style slime blocks felt great. The final boss also provided a decent challenge. Would love to see more!
