I love the dash mechanic. It's not perfect, and I could never really figure out how to get it working perfectly, nor did I get very far, but I think the idea is super cool and definitely deserves to be ironed out and polished. Nice job :)
I love the ideas of just being able to stay in the shadows, and having to dash between them, also getting different abilities to dash to ones that were inaccesible before.
I think it still lacks some work to make it really work though, shadows would work half of the time (I think I ended up being stack because the character wouldn't climb one of the shadows), the dash would also work sometimes, the attack felt really bad to use too.
Presentation was okay, but I don't know if it was just in my computer, but I found the sound when you are out of the shadows to be really grating, to the point I had to turn off sound.
The idea and mechanics have a lot of potential for a metroidvania, and I think that by polishing it more it could be a really good game! For now, it's still a very interesting entry, so good job!

Not climbling is some shadows was actually intented, didn't make it clear enough due to time. But you shouldn't get stuck at any point, do you remember where it was?
The area of attack is definitely unclear, so we'll change it on an update. Many people had said that about the sound, so we are definitely changing that too, didn't notice that since we added it last minute.
encountered some bugs like shadows not working, being teleported all over the place when dying and shadows don't work when your teleported into them after dying
i really like the concept and the mechanics are great but are confusing to understand initially
like i didn't realise the street lantern was somewhere you can dash to
i think the hitboxes for attacking could also be more clear as well
the sound effect when out of shadows was a good-helps to convey what's happening
Thank you for your feedback! The bugs with the shadows was something we tried to fix, and we did with some of them, but we didn't have much time to test with the little time we had. I'm not really sure what's causing that, but is something we'll try to fix in an update.
We tried making some clearer visuals to show what's a shadow and what not, but we ran out of time.
I really like the way this looks. The environments are haunting and spooky, and the sprites are intriguing. The music is also very fitting. The theme is well-implemented.
Sadly, I had very serious issues with the controls. The Dash command would only work a fraction of the time, and I have no idea why.
Note that the sound effect that plays while the ghost is out of the shadows is quite irritating--I found myself turning the sound off even though I liked the music.
Thank you for your feedback, didn't notice that about the sound. I'm sorry you had issues with it, we didn't have time to polish the game, however, we uploaded an update changing a few things, hopefully the problem with the controls is fixed.
I like the gameplay ideas in this game, they fit nicely with the theme. Dashing between shadows is cool concept. I think with some polish, this could be quite a nice little game. Good work, hope you keep working on it!
