Very nice game! I like background graphic. It makes great atmosphere in this world! I think that there is too big range of those spikes, I thought I'm not touching them, but still got damaged. I liked the boss you added. It was an enjoy to fight with it :D
Thanks, glad you liked it! I’ll have to go check the boundaries on those spikes
Definitelly not a bad entry, and trash bot dude looks adorable so I'll give him that. This really only lacks some polish and quite a few bug fixes to be honest.
The controls are really slippery tho. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but in either cases, it doesn't fits well with the level design, since I was constantly falling off of platforms in a very annoying way. Most of my other nitpicks are all related to bugs tho, like for example, my health was never being shown properly, sometimes I had a single gear on the Hud and still survived a lot of hits before actually dying. The room where you get the double jump is also bugged, the camera doesn't follow you properly there, so I got the upgrade off-screen, wich made me take wayy too long to realize I was actually able to double jump now.
There is also some very cheesable strats here, like for some reason the tip of my gun still does damage even when I'm not shooting, so I could just ram into the flying bots that they were just insta-dying. Also, you said on the game desc that the right mouse button is reservated for the dash, but since I don't have it, both buttons shoots, so if I just butterfly click both buttons I turn my weapon into a super minigun, and I used that to totally shred the boss I found.
I'm afraid I skipped a big chunk of the game tho, because I didn't found the dash upgrade at all and I also didn't see the big boss on the screenshots. Not to mention the final room has that very tight spike gap that I assume I was supposed to pass using the dash, but just did it pretty easily with a precise double jump instead.
A very solid entry. I like the graphics, especially the backgrounds. The music has a good "action" feel, and doesn't outwear its welcome.
The "slippery" movement is an interesting design choice. On the one hand, it was often frustrating. On the other hand, it lends itself to the use of the "fall quickly" button, which is rather original.
The first boss was a bit harder than I expected. Effective "boss" behavior though, if a bit predictable.
Thanks for the kind words! Hopefully I'll be able to address some of the feedback here in future updates
Cool artstyle and overall gameplay. Therefore that the gamplay is very platforming heavy I would personally make the controlls less floaty and add something like a coyote time. Still cool game. Keep going!
Thanks! I agree, I definitely hope to improve the player controls - I wasn’t able to get them as tight as I wanted for the jam, but I’m planning on publishing some improvements soon. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the feedback, I’d have to agree with you on those. They shouldn’t be too difficult to fix, once I get the time. Thanks! And sorry about the bug
