Rockin' music! This is a cool design, I regret it was too hard for me to get far. At first I was having a lot of trouble with the default form being too fast for staying on platforms. Where I finally got stuck was a section of 3 glass walls along a conveyor which seemed to require 1) Jump as the default slime, 2) Transform into the stone crab in midair, 3) Break a glass wall before hitting the ground, 4) Without also accidentally breaking the lowest section of glass (which holds you on each of the three stages of this challenge, otherwise you have to do them all in quick succession); this requires a pressing right and jump, then shifting to Q, the clicking the mouse, which was too much for me to handle with the requisite timing. There was a lot of "rule of 3" in the level design, this can be effective but here it mostly seemed repetitive.
I'd be happy to play a more forgiving version if you continue with it!
Some good ideas here and nice animations! I also struggled with the controls and the slipperiness. Would very much like to play a version that works out these kinks.
I really enjoyed the animations and I also like that the music changes depending on what area you are in at the moment.
As other comments already say, the acceleration and deceleration are way too much in most forms (I think the flying one is fine).
I would also add that some of the jumps in the speed form are pretty stupid and you don't really feel in control.
Overall I liked it. Good job.
The animations looks funny (in a good way), the game is quite interesting, but, as mentioned above, the character is too slippery, and he slides off the platforms.
Congrats on submitting. I like that the music and art fits together pretty well. I also like that you included the optional theme in way. However, the player controller could use some work. The slime's base for slides way too much. It would be near perfect if this was an ice level or something of that nature, but I don't think that was the intent. So slowing down that base speed would be a good tweak. In addition or instead of tweaking the speed, adding a coyote jump would work well for your movement.
This is a fun game! I like the choice art, sound and music! The progression is nice and the interpretation of the theme is solid! There are two things I would love to see improved though. The characters are too “slidy” in that they slide off of platforms really easily. It seemed that the starting form did this the most. If having this be a difference between forms is on purpose for some design reason, I’d drop it. The other abilities already do this. Also, the choice to make some controls keys and others the mouse buttons was awkward. I’d make it entirely keyboard based, but it would really be awesome for game pad support to be added too!
