The platforming controls were a bit wonky, but I really liked the effect when you lose health (and then the game being deleted when you die). You did the meta elements well, good job!

Thanks :)

Short, sweet, and to the point. Love the idea of the game falling apart as you get hurt.

Very nice prototype.  I love the concept and would really like to see more degradation and maybe different effects due to that.  It was a bit annoying to lose my ability to shoot right away, when taking a hit and I wasn't sure if the enemies were supposed to remain when shot? I dunno, but it doesn't matter.  I had a lot of fun and I really appreciated the effort.

Great work!

Thanks! Freezing enemies was actually due to same error in scripting. But I kept it instead of destroying enemies. You still have to be careful even when they are frozen. Still shooting is bit OP, so I allowed it only with a full health.
Yeah and more effects and degradation steps would be great, I agree. In such a short time span I was only able to make a few.

A little short, but controls were pretty good (although I guess that's the Godot 2D template). I like that pixelated death animation!

True, controls are from Godot 2D. I've just tweaked them and made them degrade in the same way as the game world.

nice game :) I like the animations and the sound, but you could have made it a little bit longer

Hey thanks. No it couldn't be any longer. I was struggling with the scope anyway, haha.

Interesting and original meta. But perhaps you can remove the debug window and readjust the paralax background for a more satisfying experience.

Yeah, from the technical point of view there is certainly a space for improvement. It was my first time trying out Godot engine. Glad you liked the "meta" part of it :)

I think that there is no way to remove the debug console if you use godot

No, just set Export With Debug to Off right before Save when exporting.
