TYYYY ^^
I'm sorry if it's not understood well. The top bar indicates the level of distraction, if it ends you lose the game. I guess you lost due to an accumulation of distractions and the bar ran out (you can recover it if you complete the distractions)
I'm glad you like the game, I'll probably do an update at the end of the jam with improvements that people tell me about.
thanks for playing it ^^
Hello, thank you for your comment but I think you have missed the point of the game. First of all, I'm not trying to offend anyone with this game, in fact, you are the first person to see it that way.
The game as such is not about playing with distractions (more or less) it is about avoiding them by doing their respective tasks so that the distraction bar disappears from the screen and gaining time to do homework.I want to understand that you mean that you shouldn't be playing with distractions as such because that would be distracting XD.
Honestly it's just a game, I'm not trying to offend anyone. I'm sorry if you saw it that way.
I understand your thought process on the game design - playing with the distractions will lower the distraction bar because they're no longer there. Your game deals with the distraction not by avoiding them/putting them out of sight, but actually playing with them (Press or drag the mouse click to play the piano; Draw on the paper until it disappears by holding down the mouse click; etc).
Do note that the game design should show the intent of the game - which is how to deal with ADHD. Unless your point was to show how people with ADHD feels like everyday. Though seeing your design about how you have a distraction bar, that does not seem to be the case - because the distraction bar indicates that you want to deal with ADHD and lower the distractions (yes, I'm repeating words).
Now, about your words "it's just a game". Sure, maybe it is. But do remember that you joined a Mental Health Game Jam, and the point is to make a game and talk about mental health (raising awareness, showing how to deal with it, etc). So you have to be careful about it.
But no, I am not offended. I am merely pointing out flaws in your game design that you might be able to improve on for your next games.
bro idk what u are saying, i have adhd and this is so fun. And the author of the first comment in this thread makes the same remark.
When talking about mental health people always mentions anxiety and depression, i think is good to have some fun and real representation, and reading your other comments, idc if it is from someone without adhd :)
