The Matfyz Game Jam is a traditional 48-hour hackathon focused on creating video games organised by Gamedev at Charles University.
This year we are excited to welcome our main partner, Grip Studios. Their developers and mentors will be present on-site throughout the event, ready to share their experience, give feedback, and help you make the most of the 48 hours — so don’t miss the opportunity to talk with industry professionals!
Anyone can sign up and participate. Game jams bring together people with different skills who share an interest in game development. They are a great opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills, experiment with ideas, and create something unique in a short time.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced developer, Matfyz Game Jam – Spring 2026 is for you. Participants are encouraged to collaborate, share knowledge, and support each other throughout the event. Game development lecturers and industry professionals will also be available on-site to help with development challenges.
At the end of the jam, all participants will be able to vote for their favourite game from the jam, which will receive the People’s Award of Matfyz Game Jam – Spring 2026.
The jam capacity is limited to 160 participants. The on-site capacity is limited to 100 participants. To register and to claim a spot on-site, you need to do two steps – join here on itch.io and fill this form: https://forms.gle/8R8QZtBkY7s3fyHWA
