You saw my stream so you have my feedback already :) But yeah, great entry albeit a little buggy - I can see it turning into something really awesome with some polish.
I'd have liked to have some hover tooltips to tell me the building names etc. And as you saw, some simple background music can make a huge difference ;)
Great concept and start. The first wave of my playthrough came after 20 minutes and could have been a little faster. This was mostly because I needed to explore a lot before finding all the resources that I needed to get running. Perhaps during world generation it might be helpful to spawn a little bit of everything within the initial line of sight (or at least wood, stone, fields, and gold). Keep it up!
The others pretty much said what i wanted to say.The city building aspect is cool, its like age of empires but i can do stuff at my pace.
Would need a lot of polish at the current state thr,but i can defintely see it become a one more wave game.
Making the combat become a 2d side scroll tower defense mini game might be an options too
I loved to see my numbers go up! The system you have going for the city-building aspect of your game shows a lot of potential.
Some criticisms:
1. the "fighting" aspect was a little slow at the start, I wish there were more to it, maybe a reward of some kind?
2. Sound would do your games wonders, Especially for the UI
Looking forward to seeing your future updates.
So I need stone to build a stone miner. But I don't have any stone, which was the reason to build a stone miner. Which I can't do because I have no stone...
Seriously though, the idea is quite neat. But you are missing a lot of quality of life improvements. Like shifting people from one place to another should be done in 1-2 clicks since you have to do it a lot. Checking what needs what to build should be easier. Tutorial is a must for such a game. Audio would be nice as well.
