The devlog is very detailed. The game is good.

Just a small feedback. It will be easier to play if there is a indicator showing which direction I got hit. There are several scenes in the game with multiple human enemies in front and I can't tell if they are shooting my npc ally or me. It's good that my HP is more than enough

Thanks for playing!

People have been asking for damage indicators since the first release of The Crystal Tower. I know it would definitely help but I've always kind of shied away from it because I feel it would be a ton of effort. I did have an idea on how to implement it the other day, though, so maybe it'll finally make it in this time.

Fine work, as always! I've enjoyed your Magical Girl series for awhile now. I'll hold judgement on where I'd place this one in the rankings until it's finished, but I think it'll be up there! (At the Break of Dawn currently stands as my favorite)

Your devlog was thorough, and enjoyable to read through. Not unexpected, as you generally write interesting postmortems and articles.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished game, once you've recharged and are ready to continue it!

Thanks for playing!

At the Break of Dawn is still one of my favourites as well, and I think it's a high point in the series I know is tough to top. I think this one is going to end up with weaker, less detailed environments, and the janky AI is probably going to hurt it more, but I'm hoping some of the spectacle, story, and out-of-genre gameplay sequences will make up for it. Not a lot of that is in the demo, though.

As it is a meme now on the mggj channel I have reached the famous  error loading scene. Your style and gameplay is always unique among all the other entries every mmgj. If I had to change something maybe I'd take a look at the damage output as the enemies tend to be damage sponges.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I already buffed damage and reduced enemy HP once, but they're still pretty damage spongy, and another reduction in enemy HP is probably in order.

You've found one of the secret bonus characters, have you found the other?

I have not. I checked the first level as far as I could. On the second level I jumped over the houses and tried the sand hill but have yet to find her.
