How does your game fit the Magical Girl genre?
Lyra is the Magical Girl the game starts you with before you take on the roll of 'The Villain Of The Week.'
Which theme(s) do you pick?
I am Legion is the main one, as I had a character that fit it perfectly!
How does your game fit those theme(s)?
You play AS the Monster/Demon that the Magical Girl faces against!
If you follow any of the optional challenges, elaborate as you like.
Senator: The mayor's name backwards is 'Armstrong'. (Gnort Smra). Elf: The mayor is an Elf. Horror: It's a horror from Tina's perspective + the chase scene... kinda... Secret Speedrun starts: 1. In the intro, go to the top left and interact with the fire to skip the RPG section. 2. The first Officer you meet, while he has an exclamation mark above his head, walk past him to skip the boat. Gacha: Gacha machine boss.
Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
I Pinky promise this game was made during the jam with only the planning done beforehand! Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!

In the begining, I was thinking "Oh no! it's the RPG maker turn-base battle system". ad then the game quickly finished the magical girl plotline and went to villain presepctive, which is much better.
I like the battle system. Easy to pick up. And the game have good levels to show how the simple system can offer fun experience in diffierent ways. I died several times but so far finished the game. I also try my best to colelct all coins, although I don't know what is it for.
It's a nice submission
Thank you! My original plan was to try and trick people into thinking this would be a generic RPG Maker game, but then I realized that would work better for a game that's not part of a jam.
Coins would have a reward for collecting them all, but I forgot and have no reason to add it.
I like the idea of this one. I also love it when someone does something different in RPG Maker. The change in perspective is welcome one. The controls are all over the place, this is the hardest part I'd say. This is to be expected from some games that use this engine.
The running boss went in from out bounds haha, it was so unfair. But I managed to overtake her in the end. It's a small but complete game. I liked it, even though it was somewhat awkward to play
Thank you, I've been using RPG Maker for a while. I'll be working on bosses and controls in future games!
Also in the running section, that's because I use player 'X' and 'Y' to deal damage when overlapping with an event's 'X' and 'Y', so enemies that deal damage also go through walls.
nice game
the final boss was a bit confusing but overall nicely fleshed out
I'll try to make bosses more clear in the future!
The change from 2d to 3d was interesting and fun.
Thank you!
