So. This kind of topic has appeared in the last two jams so I will make this before anyone does to save everybody the trouble

If you want to request a late submission, please beg in the reply of this topic with the link of the game you want to submit attached to it -- I will need it to generate the late submission link. Depending on my mood your entry might still be able to enter.

If you are one of the people who need this, be reminded that most jams don't allow late submissions. Whether my mood lets your entry in or not, take this as a lesson to spare a few hours before the submission deadline as buffer to submit your game to a game jam.

Ran, for the love of god I was literally 5 seconds past the submission time. Another person in my team had made the game page and I realised too late that I couldn't submit that one. So I had to make a new page in 2 minutes - causing me to be late. Admittedly, I should have thought of this before time - but I suppose what is done is done.

We submitted in time. However, I was going through the game and found some bugs afterwards that I have corrected now. My question is when can we update the game without being disqualified? Do we have to wait the full month before voting is over?

Because this is a kinda chill jam, I let people update the game without being disqualified. In most jams though you can't update your game (it gets locked) until the rating period is over.

hey it's me jpickyeater from your discord, my apologies for asking this late, I was going to submit my game 34 minutes before the deadline ended, however I ran into fatal error that broke my game as a executable, after tracing the issue for a day I found out it was a issue with file path checking and it being OS specific, I used python's os.path module to fix the issue, and I was wondering if I can request a late submission? if not, then could I take my project I worked on and continue where I left off in your next MGGJ jam? many thanks for listening.

That's... a very sad accident...

Next time you should make sure your game can export correctly and does not have insane issues at least one day before the deadline and then use the last day for minor bugfixes and buffer just in case you run into troubles.
