I really like the character design; the pixel art looks cute! Still, different pixel sizes makes the game look unpolished. In general, pixel arts don't do well with scaling and rotation, so avoid them if possible for your future games.
For the gameplay, I think the gameplay design is creative, which is a brave move. With some polishing maybe it has potential.

The character pixel art is cute. the gameplay is easy to pickup. the menu is slightly confusing because the button doesn't has much visual feedback, but so far so good.

It was very hard, but I think I managed to fill the bar a couple of times. In-game description says that I should get an extra life for doing that, but still any damage sends me straight to the main menu ¦<
The intro is very cool, and requiring to install the game is not very cool ¦3

Loved the aesthetics :) Maybe the gameplay was a bit hard for my noob arse, but is original and has a cool interpretation of the theme. If I can suggest something for a future build, I would have appreciated a button to fast restart the level every time I die, not going back to the menu to hit play again.
