Coots and treats, neat! Cool concept, congrats for your entry :)
If Coots was a sushi chef in real life she'd probably just eat it all lol. Cats love fish!
Very cool, but I don't really think that there's a method to keep things from really being "balanced" between the snack/game. Eventually Coots just attacks with enough time.
That sound clip you use for the "accept" and "item obtained" is really sharp and I had to mute the game in order to play it. It was too painful to hear so often.
Sorry about the sounds. Those were the last things I added to the game and really didn't control the audio levels on any of them. But I appreciate your feedback, Thank you very much.
Coots is the greatest sushi chef ive ever seen!
If I knew that throwing GC controllers at my cat would turn it into a sushi chef, I would have done it a long time ago.
Note - I'm actually not sure how the toys were different from the snacks. I just spammed both like crazy haha
10 second wr speedrun by me
Fun little boss battle game. I had trouble figuring out the benefit of using the toy as there was no obvious feedback that I noticed... it just seemed like Coots health went down when I used them so I wasn't sure if it was working properly? There also didn't seem to be any easy signs of when Coots would jump at you, so avoiding them seems left up to luck.
Other than that, the controls felt good and the goofy graphics style worked well.
The way the toys work are that they tame coots quicker but he has to have food in his system in order for the toys to actually tame him quicker. I also forgot to even explain what the bar on the bottom was or how the whole toy and treat system worked.
But I appreciate the feedback. Thank you very much!
Engaging game that rewards patience. I had to play a few times to make it through I kept getting greedy at the end xD. The sad coots face is also heartbreaking >.< Loved it
Very simple and easy to understand game. Art was super cute and it was a creative spin on a boss stage. 7/7
Really fun! Movement felt nice and the gameplay loop is satisfying! Nice work!
I’d probably get a cat if I could get it to cook for me…
Fun gameplay. The resource system was a good addition and prevented me from sitting on the top platform and spamming treats/toys. Good job!
I tamed coots and she made sushi for me. EZ
Really fun game! Simple, yet excellent gameplay loop that's easy to understand, yet addicting to play. And I especially love the thematic twist of a typical "boss fight" being turned on its head. Really great stuff!
I have tamed the coots! You nailed the theme i feel like for the jam. Easy to play, straight to the point. Finish in 10 mins~ well done.
Very beautiful artwork and game idea :) Character control was also amazing! Felt great to move around and throw things at Coots.
Phenomenal artwork and UI.
Fighting to tame a cat has never been this cute!
