Themes
I chose: You are the Environment, Unconventional Weapon, and Self-Destruction for Gain. These themes loosely inspired the premise. That greatly helped the creative process. I probably wouldn't have thought to make a puzzle platformer with eggs otherwise
Tools
Gdevelop: It's quick to make a platformer with and simple to use. But making complex game objects and behaviors in certain cases isn’t that convenient. Photoshop: It’s not designed for pixel art asset creation, but it gets the job done well enough.
Lessons
I tried blocking out levels before an art pass for the first time. It made level design easier.

Great execution!
What a great game! Graphics and sound are top notch.
I would have preferred for the dpad to also work for movement, and for the gamepad to work in menus too.
Also some scorekeeping would be cool, or at least indicate which levels have been completed this session, it’s easy to lose one’s place.
Thanks for all the feedback! Those are all good suggestions
very useful this egg gun! a good puzzle platformer well finished.
Top marks! The game feel super well done! The egggun(?) sound feels super satisfying while killing enemies.
Thanks! Making the egggun feel juicy was one of the first things I focused on
I like egg
I like egg too 🥚
The puzzle elements that the egg gun added to the levels was just the right amount of making you feel smart but never actually being annoying. That's a tough balance and I think this was done perfectly . I appreciate you having the level select open from the beginning and it encouraged me to pick and try different levels without it ever feeling like a chore having to replay earlier levels.
I had a good time and as someone who ALSO used GDevelop for the jam, it's always interesting to see what others put together with that engine! Overall, good stuff.
Thanks for all the compliments! I'm happy you like my choices. And I'm a huge fan of GDevelop. I love it when I see others using it in these jams and spreading the word about it
Nice entry! I like the weapon choice & inclusion of physics puzzles. I also really liked the visuals and music. The main thing I didn't like visually was the background on the first few levels. Also, it was hard for me to tell when a door is in its open state unless I witnessed the animation. Overall. this was a good game.
Thanks for your feedback! I can see where you're coming from on those two points. I tried to keep each door very close to their respective buttons, hoping it'd be hard to miss their animations. But I can think of a few places you may move away and miss it anyway. I probably should've had the camera focus in on them or something.
I think altering the art for the door when its open to be clearer would solve the issue. Although, this might have just been an issue for my playthrough and not for others.
