Solid gameplay, great graphics :)

@DemoGameJams  Thanks for playing.

The opacity thing was the reason you mentioned it :p i ran in to many monsters without it during play testing so i decided it would be nice to have .

Interesting concept. Hyper mode is definitely the best way to play. When you walked behind objects, the opacity of the object reduces so you can see if there are monsters behind it. That was a nice touch. Art is good, music is good, gameplay is fun. Great job!

@hVerse Games Thanks for playing.

Im glad you enjoyed it. Yea originally i wanted to do different element skills so you could make some cool builds but time / balancing made me cut back a lot.

@Psychic Chicken Thanks for playing.

Im glad to have introduced this genre to you. As I find them to be really arcade-like fun and addicting.

Water Shield FTW!!

Also there is hyper mode(main menu) you can turn on to make them a 15 minute run it doubles the time rate and increases enemy spawn rate, its a faster paced game mode(slightly makes it more difficult) , but yea i can see the runs being a bit long.

As for the visuals of being hit ,yea normal hit you get some screenshake but i didnt feel it should shake if you were shielded so i let the sound let you know when hit , but i see i think i might have needed a particle splash when you lost a shield.

I haven't played this genre of games before, but it was fun! On my winning run, I was already at 1 HP around 5 minutes in, and had to get all the water shield upgrades to heal back, lol.

The runs are pretty long, and I felt like the game was getting easier as I leveled up. Maybe the game could be shorter, or there could be bosses to shake things up (I know the jam deadline is the reason for the lower enemy variety, but I feel like the game could be a bit shorter in that case).

Also, the hitboxes are kind of off and there should be more visual/audio feedback for taking damage and losing shields.

I like all the upgrades and they were easy to understand, which is super important for a game jam entry imo.

I love the graphics! it's so cute and creative.

Game mechanics are also simple enough to understand, and for me the increasing difficulty over time is fair. This game has a lot of potential like upgrades, different spells, etc. Love to see this game evolve after the jam. good work
