Did you work in a team?
Nope

Was the resolution a challenge?
Fonts and UI were a little awkward. I decided to have them on separate screens to keep the game less cluttered

What did you learn?
I enjoyed keeping things minimal and learning to finish without creeping in more features

good game, good idea, music fits the gameplay and visuals, and the effects too. i think there was a little bit too much waiting between playing and showing title screens, but thats on me, im impatient :D

Nice entry, simple idea and a good execution is always a winner. Graphics were simple and there’s room for improvement on readability for what some of them are. Also having them transparent caused a bit of a mess when a few of the gfx stack. Sound is also quite basic, but given the general tone of the entry everything fits together in this minimalistic style. Good job there!

Satisfying controls, bouncing from wall to wall was intuitive. Graphics and music captured a classic-gameboy vibe quite well. Graphics were quite readable, but I thought the buzzsaws were some sort of collectible until I touched them. The player and all obstacles had fairly large hitboxes, which combined with random level generation could often result in scenarios that are extremely difficult to weave through, especially in later levels.

I got 12400 and died on stage 9 ToT some of that rng is brutal, especially when you need it to not screw you over on those higher levels ^^ simple game made well, love it!

Pretty addictive! The level generation is great. Tight controls and a good mix of brutal and basic layouts keeps progression flowing.

Cool game! Some of the levels start to get pretty tough, but I enjoyed the challenge. My only minor complaint is that sometimes the hazards are a little hard to distinguish from the collectibles. Nice job!

Fun game the wall jump was really well implemented, sometimes you cant win base around how the spikes are placed.

I had fun playing this. I like how easy it is to pick up and start playing but that it also presents an enjoyable challenge right from the beginning. Graphics and music support the game very well. Congrats!

This game is mechanically really fun, the wall jumps feel sticky and deterministic. The BGM is very subtle and unobtrusive, I think it gives a good cadence for jumping, almost like a rhythm mechanic. The monochrome visuals are attractive and a little bit nostalgic as well, like one of those "100 in 1" hand held games from the early 2000s.

Some of the levels I got after level 7 were basically impossible with how the spikes and blackholes were positioned so if you take this forward that will need to be fixed, and obviously the little chap maybe deserves a happy ending one day XD

All in all a really tight and polished entry, great work!

Thanks for playing! I'll be looking to patch up the difficulty in the next update and possibly thinking of a happier ending for him xD

1-bit jam entries unite!!!

This is going to sound sarcastic, but I swear it's not: I _love_ the soundtrack. Just a perfect feel for the game.

Developer

Sadly I didn't participate in 1-bit jam but I guess this makes up for it haha. Thanks

Very solid little game! Felt like I was playing on an old Nokia cell phone lol Loved the graphics. My high score was 6300!

Good job!

Nice, thanks for playing

I enjoyed the feel of the wall kick. Wall kicking in Megaman X was so painful, this was definitely not like that :-)

I’d ramp up the difficulty more aggressively (maybe with shorter climbs to the door).
