Did you work in a team?
I worked completely solo on this project, it was a blast!

Was the resolution a challenge?
The limited space for text was a big challenge for me, but using a small font is a big help. The resolution also posed a challenge, but I ended up embracing the low vision as a part of my project.

What did you learn?
This game jam has made me rethink how I find solutions to limitations.

Beautiful and dark.
Letters were difficult to ready. Apart from that, it was very nice game!

I really enjoyed this game's aesthetic. The art, animations, faux-CRT, etc., are all really great. The monster design is fun and creepy. Reminds me of Clock Tower a bit. Great job. I got ate up just after getting the bolt cutters.

I got out \o/ There was some stuff I didn't know how to use though, the blueish key with 2 holes in the handle, the gas canister, and I never got into the purple lock next to parents bedroom ,':/ also a door to the left of the front door, but behind a wall? I didn't know how to get at that.

Great horror game though! I drew my own map ^^ died a few times just getting it drawn lol. I love the hunger/anorexia theme, I read all the notes I found but if there was stuff I missed I probably never read all the notes. Great game! :)

Thanks for playing!

The blueish key with two handles was my attempt at drawing scissors on an 8x8 grid lol

The gas canister and purple lock are optional things you can use to unlock an alternate ending. And as for that door behind the wall, that's where the front door actually teleports you (you aren't meant to see it but I forgot to get rid of the sprite whoops)

Thanks again, and good job on making yourself a map! Love the dedication!

Nice graphics and atmosphere built in this game. Nice animation and great the effect when you get caught by the monster. Agreeing with most comments about navigation and not having items stand out a bit more. Overall a very solid entry, great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Will definitely make those things clearer in a future update.

Good stuff. I like the atmosphere and the build of the narrative. Like the commenter below, I think a map would be a great addition in version 2 for the spatially confused among us :D

Developer(+1)

A map is definitely on the list of things to add!

Thanks for playing!

I love that intro screen (Also Godot, which is nice). Liked the atmosphere but some ambient sounds would make it 10 times more intense. The house is very difficult to navigate through, a map would be nice

It's kinda difficult to tell which item can be used where, and none of the items I found could remove the planks on the final door. The lock on the final door cannot be opened even with the correct passcode unless the player visited all the rooms with passcode digits. This is clearly intentional and is up to the designer but I think letting the players get away with finding 2 digits and brute forcing the last one also gives a different sense of accomplishment

Character design is really good, the monster's design is in a perfect balance that avoids both "too unique and outlandish to be scary" and "too generic and boring".  Chase theme is pretty good too

Good game overall :]

Thanks for playing!

There is an 'examine item' feature which you can use to learn more about the item you have, but it's not pointed out at all during gameplay so I'll definitely add something to introduce it properly in a later version.

(Also  you can remove the planks from the end door using the hammer, which is in the safe in the garage. Sorry for the confusion!)

Thanks for the feedback!

Man, that jumpscare scared me TWICE and I'm not easily scared at all! If you built some tension with music and other effects it would be DEADLY! Couldn't finish the game sadly, the house is maze that I keep getting lost in. The game is really polished and well made, I had a good time playing despite the frustration of being constantly lost. The bad part more precisely actually is revisiting the same places over and over again rather than being lost. Very spoopy anyway, great job!

I'd have loved to have added some ambient music, but unfortunately I ran out of time for that. Maybe in a future update :)

I'll also try and figure out a way to make the house easier to navigate. Being the person who designed it means it's hard to tell if it's too easy to get lost in or not. I've got an idea on how I could remedy this that I'll definitely be trying out post-voting.

Thanks again!
