Did you work in a team?
2, Jason (Art & Lead Design, Concept), Luke (Logic programming & Design)
We loved the experience. A fun challenge which really pushed both of our skills.
Was the resolution a challenge?
3D at this rez is hard, you have to build with that in mind. I love the restriction though.
What did you learn?
loaddss! Great Jam ^_^. This was our first 3d game together.

Very interesting cyperpunk atmosphere. I loved the CCTV camera perspective (that random person standing between two buildings :D)
Would be interesting to see what this game could be expanded to
CCTV was great. You can add new mechanics like in google maps where you can drop camera to a street level.
I really was missing option to select what building will be build, having 5 casino in city and cinema.
I love the feeling of the busy city. The shadows, cars, and flashing lights, and changing colors all made it very visually interesting. The CCTV cameras were a nice touch. The environments are a bit hard to read, but overall, great job!
Cool game! I love playing games that risks the challenge of using 3D in Low Rez Jam.
Really cool idea, no game breaking bug and good art!
I did have some struggles with the UI at the beginning.
At some point, I didn't know what to do next as everything was stabilized, so I just watched the cctv (really cool feature btw, expanding it with some interaction inside the different views would add more deepness to the game IMO).
Is there a " Win ending" to the game or is the endgame just for starring at our creations ?
Anyway, sadly I didn't have an audio output on the device I played, so I didn't rate it for now, as I really feel I missed a part of the game. I will come back later for this.
The concept is great, and the use of 3d is always appreciated.
Congrats !
Thanks for playing! Yeah, I fancied taking a risk with the art for this one, glad you appreciated that. Expanding the CCTV is definitely on our list. I think right now it's exactly that, you get to chill out in your cyber punk city you've created. Ooo audio is a big deal on this game, definitely check it out with headphones if you can. Thanks again! :)
This has a distinct cyberpunky feel to it, I just love all the subtle animations in the environment!
Definitely loved the aesthetic of the game! I don’t know if it’s just me, but I encountered some audio stuttering whenever I built a building and when there were a lot of buildings on-screen. I would love to see this game expanded upon!
I thought this game was rather peaceful. Wasn’t exactly sure what I needed to do the first couple of times, but I think I got it on my third go around. That said, I think it might be a little broken because, on the third try, I placed Waste, Culture, Culture, Energy, Energy… and I just kept advancing without having to do anything else. Culture and Energy both maxed out and never dropped and Waste remained stable. I kept getting grant after grant and never had to build anything else.
I love the esthetics! Great work!
Thanks for playing! The buildings you create are picked randomly based on what you can afford and all have a different effect on all the criteria. I guess you managed to luck out with a perfect first few. I've had games where I'm frantically building more and more buildings and it still doesn't stabilise. Glad you got to chill and appreciate the game though 👌
It's interesting to see through the cameras! But sometimes hard to understand what's happening on the screen.
Great futuristic city feel (especially with the CCTV), though I wish there was more gameplay. At first it was hard to tell what was going on with the resolution, but I got used to it. Glitchy atmospheric audio was cool, though repetitive. I would love to see a higher resolution version (could still be pixely, like 256x256) where I could explore the city more through CCTV.
Neat game. The art worked quite well, and I loved the touch of having CCTV camera views you could look in on (especially the one from inside the moving car).
The lighting and design is fantastic, and the CCTV is a very good addition. Gameplay falls a bit short, as you are forced to build an optimal ratio of resources. If I'm honest, half of the fun in a sim game is that mayhem ensues when you neglect the need of your population. So let the residents be dirty, uncultured and primitive if you can't take care of their district ;)
The visuals don't translate that well into lowrez, so i'd love to see a higher resolution version of this. Well done!
