A funny adaptation of the original crazy bus. In the future, I think its best if you try to avoid using images from other games in game jams. Congratulations on your first game jam.

Was the resolution a challenge?
Ultimately, the biggest hurdle was text. I had to discard all flavor text on the bus select screen. I managed to get the rest to stay with the help of punyfont and a font provided to me in the PICO-8 Discord server. The existing sprites were upscaled in the original as is. In terms of the original: attempting to fit detailed bus sprites into a average of 3 PICO-8 tiles was difficult, and even though it does not look like it (because I stripped out some sprites) I did end up running out of spritesheet room and had to make use of zep's compression snippet and some minor memory copying.
What did you learn?
I learned that it apparently can be rather easy to adapt a preexisting project to fit a new restriction.
