I loved this experience! I was bummed that I couldn't figure out how to get past the double doors at the end of the hall, it said I had a key, but wouldn't let me use the key to open the door. The sound design was super cool and immersive and the concept was really interesting. Good stuff!

The UI style was cool and enhanced the spooky nature of the game. The writing is good too, overall great job!
This text horror game has a really cool visual design and great atmosphere.
Really cool, I loved the art in the background of the moving screen. Creative!
Really cool text-based horror game! I enjoyed playing this :)
Incredible game, really creeped me out lol I love the little touches and the attention to detail. Great story, great audio. Really amazing game.
Unfortunately I couldn't finish as the game crashed on this screen. My computer no longer recognised the program was running and I had to restart my computer. Real shame, I was really into it lol
If you have never played it, I recommend a game called Stories Untold. Very similar and I think you'd love it!
I actually had to look behind me when I heard a voice in my headphones. Very immersive visuals and sound design.
The story was horrific in a way I'm not used to experiencing, but it was well told. The subversion of my expectations with the computer text was also a great addition. I never knew what was going to happen next.
Excellent work creating an experience like this in such a short time-frame!
Amazing! Playing with headphones made the experience 10x's better. I don't normally finish horror games, out of fear, but this one won me over. I enjoyed the story, the sounds, the characters and their backgrounds, and how engaging it was to play.
It reminds me of other text-based games I have played before so it was pretty simple to understand. This was honestly the best text-based game I have ever played too.
I also laughed when I heard the sound for the item pick up. But all jokes aside it was still scary at certain points.
Overall, I enjoyed figuring things out, investigating areas and learning about the characters. It was really fun and kept my brain active, but also alert. I hope there will be more games to experience from you in the future.
Keep up the good work! 100/100
I dont like you... nope nope nope nope nope... why did you lead me to believe typing jenny was a good idea D:: Much less just doing things and walking around. I am now sad :(
Now moving on to the actual review of more calm thoughts.
Well done friend! This game is absolutely beautiful in story, writing, ambience, design, everything is genuinely near perfection!
For real this was I think the first all 5 I've given this jam. Be proud of yourself cause this is amazing!
My only criticism to give is possibly consider adding a function to replace continue that instead shows a list of options to take in that scenario. I found myself at times stuck in infinite continue loops cause I'm too dumb to figure things out!
All in all a wonderful game and amazing entry! :D
cool text based game. sadly I couldn't get past hospital doors. intriguing story.
This was an incredible experience, on the edge of being a jam masterpiece in many ways. I have to agree that multiple choice would've been better, it was too easy to get stuck and the possible responses weren't always very intuitive. That being said, the story was super intense and unfortunately very relevant to many current events in a sad way. This game is a work of art.
I love how the story of the game is shrouded in mystery. There's a lot of underlying lore to figure out for yourself and I got lost in the sauce multiple times. The background music and sound effects really added to the overall mood and realism. After playing it made me want to look for other text-based adventure games to play. Great game! 10/10
even though I don't like horror games and its pretty late at night as of right now, I still had lots of fun playing this game and thought it was really engaging. i loved the text and some of the sarcastic answers you would get back. couple criticisms however, starting of I think personally it would make more sense for the texts to be multiple choice as i kept getting stuck, obviously in a 10 day project its hard to write loads of answers for each part so i think it would of been better if you did multiple choice. lastly I didn't really see a clear link between the theme and the game, I don't know if that's just me but I think it could be clearer. overall i think it is a wicked idea and am really interested in its development and would be happy to play it again, even though i nearly died from a heart attack after each sound effect like why was the crowbar so loudddd :( . best wishes with the jam lol.
we wanted to go more the text-adventure route and have the player feel more in control of how they can respond, but i def agree multiple choice would have guided the story forward better. but in our case, we were also able to add a couple secrets you can type if you looked hard enough ;)
thank you for playing!
I love the exploration aspect of the game but as I am very easily scared I didn't dare go past the stairs (after the whispers), maybe I'll dare in the daylight instead. You really nailed the atmosphere!
Quite fun to play ! Remember me the old games (yes I am THAT old). Nice job... i'm still in the room, i'll return in the game.
