Neat game. I included it in my LibGDX Jam compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :)

doesnt work. I see a flash of the words "game over", and the nothing. Im using a macbook pro.

There are little defects with the screen resolution handling and the sounds playbacking.
Nice game but ultimately not particularly impressive.

Very nice game with cool retro sounds and art, escpecially in the shop :-) Very cool!

Thanks for all the complements everyone! :)

Yeah, unfortunately the game is a little on the short side. I'd had more enemies planned and even boss fights, but the one month crunch combined with making all of my own assets was really time consuming.

I wrote up a post-mortem/retrospective on the development cycle on my blog for anyone interested.

Nice one! the first level was a bit samey, but the second had a much better mix of things to shoot, I was all set for a third but then it ended :( good job!

Really like your logo. I saw "GAME OVER" and was like What?

Love the retro chip tunes!

You nailed the retro sounds!

As a quick note: the game automatically starts in 800 * 600 fullscreen. When you load it, go to "Options" and change it to your preferred resolution. Unfortunately the 800 * 600 setting throws off some of the non-battle screens in the game.
