Pretty neat. I like the concept of time as a healthbar. I won't just parrot what everyone else has said, but if you find another way to have time used as a currency, I think it would add a little depth to the game. Like maybe have Geometry Wars style screen bombs that cost time?

Nice little game, but there is no real challenge to it. Maybe make the enemies shoot back or have different behaviors not just move at different speeds, otherwise it's just infinite kiting.

fun little game could use some powerups etc. Feature I would really add is like a bullet amount so bullet spamming is not allowed or at least punished. Player can move off the field and live forever?

Developer (1 edit)

I might add powerups, but I'm not sure about that. I don't see a reason to punish the player for spamming since (at least in my opinion) it doesn't take away from the experience, but I'll probably incentivise aiming and charging shots by making shots that the player waits a bit before shooting do something as TheCalster suggested. As for the last point if you're talking about the collisions (or lack there of) that was fixed in the most recent build (release? (upload? (version?))).

I also had the "problem" where I could play forever. Maybe getting some different kind of enemies or some variation would have been nice.

But overall I enjoyed it and I like how the game looks :)

In the most recent version the intervals between spawns decreases over time so that should make it more difficult. I'll try adding new enemies later in the game next time I get a chance to work on it.

P.s: glad you enjoyed it.

Fun little game :)
Maybe have the bullet power up the longer you hold down the mousebutton, so a fully powered shot can penetrate one enemy and hit another? or bounce of a wall maybe?

I was actually planning to implement something like that but time ran out. Perhaps I'll add it now.

Pretty fun! But it doesn't feel like it's getting harder the longer I go, so I could play forever :)
