Right amount of difficulty: hard but not impossible. Really liked the light and the items giving you visibility in addition to light. I had my dose of fun!
Loved the death animation. The levels were complex and the items well thought out. It's all good. Kudos
Nice visuals! Especially when the character is dying. I loved concept, it perfectly fits the jam's theme. Good job guys, amazing for 48 hours!
Clever concept, I like it very much. Good job!
Neat idea with the light and darkness. I also like how you implemented the characters' death, looks quite pleasing. Slightly rage inducing when you just want to run through the game and keep hitting spikes outside your vision, but I think that's part of the idea of the game, I am just not patient enough :D
Nice idea and game, the controls need some optimization in my opinion, like the jump.
But in all very polished and nice death animation :D
Great game. I think the physics are too floaty but after a while you get used to it
Good production quality.
good job
My main problem with this game is jumping. You need to hold jump button to jump properly. And if you not jump would be really small and it fells like you just hitting ceiling. But overall this is pretty cool platformer with interesting idea, good work and good luck in your projects!
Amazing game, I liked the animations most and also the smart usage of the utility tools, was a bit hard for me tho.
Cool and challenging platformer with a good variety of items and mechanics. Devilishly hard to avoid traps with that tiny sphere of light around you haha. I had a good time but fwiw I didn't end up playing quite as long as I wanted to because I found it a little too frustrating right off the bat. Still, really impressive game for 48 hrs!
Very fun and challenging.
So much satisfaction from hitting each checkpoint.
Awesome game bro, i like the concept of this platformer but the first level is already hard for me so maybe making it more easier then progress it much harder level.
Neat concept! I liked the lighting system and having to essentially memorize short bursts of the map and to proceed with caution. Great use of the assets and to bring a refreshing take to the dungeon crawling formula.
It's a very good idea that fits the premise of the jam really well. But it's quite difficult. Maybe if the player could control the direction of the flashlight? Was the relaxing music intentional?
Very creative. Good death animations.
Nice game ! Really good ambiance and use of assets, but really too hard for me ("^w^)
I stopped soon after getting the radar for enemies (~^^)~ ... and it still took me 15 minutes. (o_o) But the dark passage after the two sawblade in the dimlight kinda makes me stop due my low skills at these platformer games (^w^") I also don't know what are the blue jam (sorry gem) and bottle of slimes I got (I guess they are collectible ?)
Anyways ! I don't want to be overly negative, because I think it's a really good game ! (^w^) Good job putting all that together in 48h (^w^) Sorry I didn't make it to the end (~"^^)~
Thank you for making this game !
Thank you for complex review, glad you liked our game! Yes, they were collectibles and originally we wanted to tie them into the story, but due to the time limit we left them just there. And don't worry, our coder didn't make it to the end of the game either :)
A very interesting game that perfectly fits the theme!
a truly fun game!
game is well made, I appreciate the 2D lights a lot, great work especially for such a short time,
nice choice of assets too, execution is masterful, the assets blend perfectly,
overall a great entry indeed! excellent work!
Thanks man, I really do appreciate your feedback
