Nice! A simple little door/key puzzle game. The controls felt tight, the level was simple but well-designed. Cool :)

Fun little platformer game! The controls felt like they were done well, and I liked the the little level you designed. I also liked seeing the crosshair change when hovering over an interactable. Seeing the goal text ("Find the Way Back Home") floating in the air when looking around the level was a bit jarring, but outside of that great work!

Trial version I hear, so I won't be too harsh! :)

I liked how you embedded the controls in the world and introduced the key+door mechanic by making the player search their starting area before being able to proceed.  Though, for picking up the keys, I would've liked to have used the semi-default "interact" key of these sort of games, E, rather than left clicking.  Or even an auto-pickup.

Beyond that, the environment was nice, but the collision on some of the walls seemed a bit harsh.  I felt like I'd get stuck when I shouldn't sometimes if I got too close to walls.  And as another commenter suggested, adding some sort of puzzles would add a lot to the game and make the sections feel more unique!

a perfect entry!great execution and choice of assets!

thus the visuals look stunning! I am impressed by such effort in such a short time!

Lovely little puzzle exploration game. I really liked the layout of the level(s)! I also like the general vibe and ambient sounds. In general the audio was a treat.

Some notes: As a player I would have preferred the keys to be auto pickup rather than pick-up on interact (though I suppose that also depends on taste?). While I was playing my mind was constantly drifting off to classic doom and picking up key cards, so that might be why.

Additionally: there is a small bug where you can click on the opening door again to re-play the animation, a simple bool check could fix that!

Would also have been nice to have some sort of victory fanfare at the end, though the jumping friends also made me very happy!

Wonderful job with the submission!

Well done! Liked alot of the choices you made with the level design, the colors, progression of game mechanics :)

Did anyone else want to go back and play The Witness after this? :D

Really well done, even the 3d platforming bits were easy to navigate... something others have had trouble getting right. Also loved the jumping guy at the end.

Neat game - well done

The putting together of the assets and map was really good, but there should be more mechanics to the gameplay. It was pretty cool to see the bouncing NPCs.

Cool game! If you were to continue development, I'd suggest adding puzzles to the game! Overall fun entry, good job!

Pretty fun game! I liked being able to explore each section of the map as I unlocked doors. Movement felt pretty smooth and responsive; jumping felt solid too, though I think there could've been more jumping sections instead of just having one, so there's more platforming involved. Either way, really like this entry; great job!

Edit: this definitely gives me vibes of The Witness, so well done on that :)

I like the enviroment, and the NPC jumpping jajsjad.

But i think that is too simple the gameplay.

Enjoyed the look and feel, the level composition was good and I did feel the "exploration" factor. Good work!

Interesting game! I didnt like the sound effects though. For the atmosphere maybe add some free relaxing lo fi or something! The game is nice to just chill and fits the theme

I like the sound effects a lot, they really add to the world. btw, after it returns the player to the start, they're then able to open the doors without needing to re-collect the keys.

Developer

Thanks for pointing that out! I was mostly waiting for the editor to finish loading/compiling instead of doing playtests. Will fix post-jam.

Nice job! Really enjoyed exploring and finding the keys, and it was very visually appealing. I did a similar story for my submission also!

Cool game! I liked the sound effects and level design :)

I really enjoyed it. The movement felt nice and the level design was good. It felt good to explore. We used lots of the same assets so it was interesting to see what you did with it.
